Move-in house rituals

Hi Cecil,
I've chosen the auspicious date that I'd want to move in to my new house. Unfortunately, I don't think I'll be ready to move in on that date itself. My new bed probably will not be ready either. Rather than rush to do so, could you advise what are the 'must-do' or minimal rituals for moving-in. Someone told me that we can just 'move in our clothes' that's sufficient. Another said, we can sleep-over for on the night of the auspicious day.
thanks
John C

1. In my opinion, there is certainly no one correct answer for move-in.
2. The conservative (and ultra-conservative) would not agree that "move in your clothes" would imply a "stay-in".
3. From what I analyse and understand; the most acceptable term is "to sleep in the home over-night". This, I believe is the most common consensus to a = move-in.
4. This is because, some belief that even if one is unable to or do not sleep overnight but do certain thing(s)... it would be symbolic of a move-in.
5. Here, some say to place a set of the husband's night clothing on his side of the bed, while the wife; hers on her side.
6. I would consider Para 4 and 5 as a valid consideration of "minimal move-in"
Of course, there are many other interpretations. And I understand that your is further complicated by "no bed" on your "move-in".......

In my opinion, I believe the more popular consensus of a move-in has to do with "staying over-night" or rather, "sleeping" or (symbolic sleeping) overnight.
