The Criterion EC - Executive Luxury EC

Please take extra care as I suspect that the North compass marking on the sales brochure may not be accurate.

This is because, I compared the North marking on the electronic streetdirectory map from http://streetdirectory.com and found that the difference can cause all the analysis from e.g. Flying Stars N1, S1, SE1, SW1 to become N2, S2, SE2, SW2 if the sales brochure site plan is used.

Here, there is a lot of difference between say a N1 flying star chart vs a N2/N3 flying star chart.

For example: from the streetdirectory map, I found the stacks like #17, #21, #25 to be N1 at 345 degrees. But the sales brochure map shows a vast difference at 3 degrees. Which results in these stacks facing "N2".

So which seems correct?

I would place my bet with the streetdirectory's map. Unfortunately, the onemap.sg using gov.data map only shows the outline of each block only after the development has T.O.P.

For buyers in this development, best to do a reading after the blocks/stacks are ready...

The Criterion EC - Executive Luxury EC

For now, the Flying Star compass measurements are based on streetdirectory.com maps:-

N1 with stacks:03, 04, 07, 38, 39, 17, 18, 21, 22, 26 & 28has the auspicious double 8s at it's frontage. Good if the frontage has a water position.

Good if the master bedroom is located at NE sector. As it has good auspicious star combinations of MS#6 + WS#1.

If a bedroom is located at East is good for a bedroom cum study.

The rest of other sectors has inauspicious stars. And may need to be disarmed.

S1 with stacks 36, 37, 01, 05, 19, 23 & 27. The combined auspicious wealth stars MS#8 + WS#8 are at the "rear" of the unit. Such a waste as usually this is the kitchen & yard area.

It will be good if a bedroom is located at East sector: good for studies.

If the main entrance is located at NE, this will be excellent as there are good combinations of MS#1 with WS#6 in this sector.

NE1 with stacks 14, 15, 32, & 35.Has the auspicious water wealth #8 star at the frontage. Thus, units with water position at the frontage (balcony side) can enjoy good Feng Shui. If so, the sum-of-ten can be activated for : Health, wealth and family luck. If the unit is not facing a water position, then best to place a water position at the balcony area to activate the luck. On the downside; the other sectors in such a home has bad stars that best to be disarmed or neutralised.

SW1 with stacks 12, 16, 33 &34. Favourable if the water wealth #8 is at the frontage; water at the frontage is good. It will be advantages if the unit faces a pool of water or activate a water position at the balcony area. As such overall, the unit can activate the sum-of-ten. Need though to disarm bad stars in many sectors of the home. To disarm health related considerations.

NW1 with stacks 10, 11 & 30.Can activate the auspicious Pearl String effect; best to have a "mountain" at the front and ideally water behind the unit. In addition, the water position is at the rear of the block.

SE1 with stacks 29 & 31.For SE1 facing, ideally, water position to be at the frontage. If so, it is a double bonus as SW1 enjoys the auspicous 10 combinations under the Flying Star Feng Shui.

The Criterion EC - Executive Luxury EC and 4 bedroom premium Type C3P N C3-1P

Bedroom 4 shares the same wall as the WC pipe wall. Thus, if possible try not to sleep with the bed-head close to this area

The Criterion Penthouse.

Common sense says that whenever there are two or more levels in a home; it is best to superimpose the upper level onto the lower level.58c7fe3b91989_the-criterion-penthouselevel1and2.thumb.png.e2100ffc3d2ad7a39135a5508c47176c.png

In the above example: the top most layout plan shows that after I had superimposed it: assuming that a king or queen sized bed is used; this bedroom 5 is partially below the walk-in-wardrope of the master bedroom at upper level + partially below the master bedroom toilet. Luckily it is not directly below it's WC.

This principle is universal. And also applies to those who are wanting to purchase or doing A&A works of a landed property that has two or more levels.

Still trying to figure out where is the power sub-station + the central bin collection point. Could these two be located at marking in red "A?" see here:-58c80543964e5_thecriterionquery.thumb.png.0323e4286c7a57db31a31064aafe1fcb.png

For the central bin collection point.. most likely from the main entrance side. As does not seem to have any other "side entrances" specific for rubbish bin truck collection point.

Yeah.. that barbeque pit.. does "smell" ....

P.S. The developer should take a cue from HDB. Here HDB even clearly mark where is each block's rubbish collection point.

Both The Vales at Potong Pasir and The Criterion is developed by CDL.

These photos came from the recent T.O.P. Of The Venue.

From the illustrations it seems that there are so many restrictions when throwing rubbish,

My main concern is that I have seen some bins where rubbish were not bagged up. And this is one of the many requirements:-final.jpg

Another worrying concern is that a rubbish bag must not contain too much liquid waste. A no no on the signage says do not throw food with high liquid content. Wow!

In all the signage, see below lists a total of 10 items that cannot be thrown into the bin.

Often, I understand some residents may throw down bottles etc.. this is also not allowed.

Nowadays, with some of the rubbish bins just outside some units and or at the passageway leading to the units.

Should a jam of the pneumatic system occurs. Some residents would be forced to deposit their waste at the foot of such bins.

Sometimes it may result in unhappiness of residents living beside or along the corridor leading to their units.

Let's hope the suction system of these bins do really work well...hmm.

In my opinion, this system seems more suited to offices than home.

Time will tell.

One fine day, a resident may thus request for a weighing scale.. to weight their rubbish if it is okay to throw in the bin... OMG!!!!

P.S. Wow if it really works.. cost savings if the Cleaners are taken out of the removal loop... Let's hope they may not end up crawling into the system to remove the "jam"...

1966, practically the entire area around The Criterion was undeveloped.

And the major road leading to the area was Bah Soon Pah Road.

A popular ground for army exercises then. And often one can hear announcements that the SAF was conducting military excercises there in the early 1970’s to 1980’s.

The Criterion Luxury EC T.O.P. in March 2018

Expected Minimum Occupation Period (M.O.P.) around 2023

Is my Period 8 house still lucky from 2024 till 2043?

In Summary,

Majority of the Blocks in this development are either N1 or S1 facing

N1  [Less lucky under Period 9. As formerly double #8's at it's frontage at South]
S1 [Unlucky under Period 8. Depends on where is the living room & external features.]

1.  The Criterion EC T.O.P. in 2018 and is considered as born in Period 8.

2. Thus, even if there is a transition or change of period from Period 8 to 9, the Flying Star Chart or Feng Shui birth chart will remain as a Period 8 chart.

2.1. The only difference is that the wealth luck has now changed from #8's to #9's.

3. Majority of the Blocks in this development are either N1 or S1.

3.1.  Both N1 & S1 are overall less lucky than when the 1st owner collected the keys. Especially lucky during that time was the North or N1 stacks/units.

4. Under House Hunting considerations, units in The Criterion EC can be graded under two Parts:

4.1. Part 1 : Location, location, location = External + Internal = 70%
4.2. Part 2: The Three (3) Major Considerations: Frontage, Kitchen and Main Bedroom = 30%

271943462_00GRADE2PERIODS.thumb.png.7f55650691a546c835b8ab50a2e6b645.png

4.3. TODAY once unit is considered unsuitable to the breadwinner with a score of either zero out of 30 marks or just 10 marks out of 30; could mean the unit may be overall graded as a C+ (Just Pass) or C (Fail grade).

image.png.7f91e801bf9ef5f3329f3e8a258db46c.png

5. Often there is a difference between a non-mirrored layout vs a mirrored one. This can definitely affect this score depending on whether if one is of an East vs a West Group.

Reference resource with charts for Period 8 - N3 or S3 facing directions.

Are you interested in buying a home at The Criterion  EC after it's Minimum Occupation Period (MOP). Expected around Year 2023?
