A home with high walls and lots of tall trees does not encourage good qi to circulate within the home.
In fact, too many tall trees cast a shadow onto the ground, making the home too yin.
A bright hall effect is something like an open space or court yard where qi both yang qi: good lighting and space for "qi" to "collect"...
