The first line in the Feng Shui ruler refers to (in blue - see attachment) Yang measurements. Thus, one can use this for such things as the height of a kitchen cabinet. Usually it is between 33 inches to 35 inches. 3. The 2nd line in the Feng Shui ruler (in red - see attachment) refers to Yin measurements i.e. for the dead or coffin etc.. 4. However, for the auspicious measurements of an altar; ideally it should take into account both Yang and Yin auspicious measurements: both for the living and the dead.
