Feng Shui for the Southern Hemisphere

Dear Da.......,
In my opinion, there is no change.
In fact, around 1999 to 2001; there was a controversy when an Australian
geomancer made the claim based on what you wrote - when she brought out
the draining of water in a sink is reversed.
However, many traditional geomancers, and if I recalled, properly all
said No. And the main counter-claim is that the "Compass School" of Feng
Shui i.e. Eight House and Flying stars are based on the compass.
And even in "down-under" (Australia) the compass readings remains the same. (Other than the North or south poles).

Hello,

I came across your website and found it very
interesting. I am about the build a West facing house and I came across your
webpage about auspicious and inauspicious areas. I was wondering -Is the
layout for a house in the Southern hemisphere the inverse of a Northern
hemisphere house.

i.e. East is still East where the sun rises and
West is where the sun sets but here in Australia the North is always where the
sun is and South is in shade andis the direction ofcold winter
winds. May I ask your advice?

Many thanks
D M

Thank you very much. Yes people often say that the
water drains out of a sink in the opposite direction but in fact it is the same
direction it's just one is lookingdown the pipe from the other end. I will
take note of your auspicious house areas when building my new house. Again,
thank you for your reply
