Shapes and Form is usually the most common method in analysing a plot of land:<br>1.1 Using the four symbolic animals concept i.e. of clear space at the front and solid support behind.<br>1.2 Yin and Yang concept<br>1.3 The Five elements concept such as the surrounding buildings. Are they generally e.g. earth element? fire element? etc...<br>2. For a plot of land, it is analysed usually with a built up area. <br>3. This is because under the Flying Star Feng Shui there are 24 directions or (mountains) or compass degrees per 24 sector at 15 degree increments.<br>4. For a Flying Star Chart, it is essential that the direction of the main entrance door is taken. Without this fundamental direction, no Flying Star Chart can be `drawn'.<br>5. Since the Flying Star Chart has the `water' star and `mountain' star or the facing (water) and sitting (mountain) position, this form of Feng Shui closely resembles Shapes and Form School of Feng Shui.<br>6. This is where under Para 5, the Flying Star `water and mountain' or facing and sitting' can be used to analyse a plot of land.<br>7. Here, if one notice carefully, it is really similar or actually is infact "Shapes and Forms" minus using the compass.<br>8. Therefore, when we applying the " sitting and facing " used under Flying Star, it is the same as saying that at the main entrance, one should have clear space or a water position representing clear space as water is flat.<br>While the `sitting' position usually would require a solid backing or wall.<br>Warmest Regards,<br>Cecil<br><p> </p><blockquote class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote=""> <div class="ipsQuote_citation"> Quote </div> <div class="ipsQuote_contents">On 11/10/00 5:46:00 AM, Anonymous wrote:<br>Dear cecil,<br>I have heard that one can<br>apply the flying star on a<br>plot of land. Hi Master. My partner &amp; I are considering buying a resale condo unit and have some questions that we hope you can help us with.
</p>

<ol>
	<li>
		Is it auspicious to buy a unit with water leakage from the ceiling (it is a top floor unit)? the agent shared that this happened 1 month ago and they are contacting the management to fix it.
	</li>
	<li>
		How auspicious is it for the main door to face the staircase with door, about 1.5m to 2m apart?
	</li>
	<li>
		Is it a concern if the owner of the unit has passed on a year ago (although the owner has not stayed in the property for many years but has been renting it out)?
	</li>
	<li>
		Is it possible to use feng shui to help to counter the above concerns?
	</li>
	<li>
		What are other things that we should look out for?
	</li>
</ol>

<p>
	Thank you very much!

	For example, if the plot of land is facing 120 degrees SE, it may have entrance at 210 degrees SW and then that entrance leads to a hallway/corridor. On both sides of hallway, there are apartments. So one row faces 210 degrees SW (most windows, balcony open to 30 N), other row faces 30 degrees N (most windows, balcony open to 210 SW), another row windows/balcony is 300 NW.

</p>

<p>

	Attaching a diagram herewith, please see -&gt;

</p>

<p>

	This is a six storey building. What can be the facing direction of Apartments marked #1 and #2? Can the facing direction of whole building plot (120 degrees SE) be used as facing direction and then that Bagua or Flying Star Map can be superimposed on each apartment (because entrance of all apartments is only one -&gt; 210 SW)?

</p>

<p>
	Dear All,
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	<strong>1. Using the productive cycle template: </strong>
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	<strong>METAL -</strong>
</p>

<p>

</p>

<blockquote class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote="">
	<div class="ipsQuote_citation">
		Quote
	</div>

	<div class="ipsQuote_contents">
		<p>
			<strong>WATER -<br />
			WOOD -<br />
			FIRE -<br />
			EARTH<br />
			<br />
			where the star numbers are:<br />
			Palace or base #7 = weak metal element<br />
			Mountain star #9 = strong fire element<br />
			Water star #5 = strong fire element.<br />
			<br />
			<strong>2. We subsitute these elements into the productive cycle chart:-</strong></strong>
		</p>

		<p>
			<strong>#7 (weak metal) - WATER -<br />
			WOOD -<br />
			#9 (strong fire) -<br />
			#5 (strong earth)<br />
			<br />
			<strong>3. THE EXCELLENT, THE GOOD, THE BAD, THE UGLY</strong></strong>
		</p>

		<p>

		</p>

		<p>
			<strong>We should also understand whether individually each element is GOOD or BAD or UGLY?<br />
			<br />
			Where:</strong>
		</p>

		<p>

		</p>

		<p>

		</p>

		<p>
			<strong>Excellent : Strong good elements like #6 strong metal<br />
			Strong #8 (current prosperity)<br />
			Strong #9 (future prosperity)</strong>
		</p>

		<p>

		</p>
	</div>
</blockquote>

<p>

</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	thus we can make the above formula more meaningful by adding the words good or bad into the above equation:-
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	EXCELLENT <strong>#9 (strong fire) </strong>-
</p>

<p>

</p>

<blockquote class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote="">
	<div class="ipsQuote_citation">
		Quote
	</div>

	<div class="ipsQuote_contents">
		<p>
			<strong>UGLY #5 (strong earth) -<br />
			BAD #7 (weak metal) </strong><br />
			WATER -<br />
			WOOD -
		</p>

		<p>

		</p>

		<p>

		</p>

		<p>
			<strong>4. Analysis</strong>
		</p>

		<p>

		</p>

		<p>

		</p>

		<p>

		</p>

		<p>
			UGLY #5 has been unfortunately being supported by a STRONG FIRE #9. What happens? #9 inadvertently fuels or inflame the Ugly #5!<br />
			<br />
			In the above cycle we realise thatthe Palace number with the Mountain star and Water star becomes a cycle of :
		</p>

		<p>

		</p>

		<p>

		</p>

		<p>
			strong Fire #9- strong Earth #5 -<br />
			weak Metal #7<br />
			<br />
			5. Thus we canunderstand, here thatthe above equation is an imbalance becauseof one element that is weak = metal element.
		</p>

		<p>

		</p>

		<p>

		</p>

		<p>
			To harmonize the above equation, we can add additional metal element to bring it to par with the rest of the other strong elements of #9 and #5.
		</p>

		<p>

		</p>
	</div>
</blockquote>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	Beingcurrently a weak metal, it cannot really efficiently draw out or exhaust strong earth #5.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	In addition, two other elements are left untouched! Water and Wood.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	6. Water element can be introduced to this sector: fortwo reasons:-
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	<strong>6.1USINGWATER IN THIS SECTOR(WHY IS WATER SUITABLE IN THIS SECTOR)</strong>
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	weak metal element #7 bulgary or thefton it's own is a bad element. We can use water to draw or exhaust in the above productive cycle.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	6.2 being a weak metal element,the above proposal is to add additionalmetal e.g. a set of six coins (strong metal).
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	7. Under the productive cycle, metal(strong metal) can be helped by water to create wealth under the productive cycle.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	<strong>8. ALTERNATIVE INTRODUCTION OF "WOOD"</strong>
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	An alternative solution is to use Wood. Because #9 fire fuels the ugly #5.Thus if one understands the destructive cycle of the five elements concept:
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	Wooddestroys Earth<br />
	<br />
	Much like a tree with strong roots crushing into theearth.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	I hope that those learning Flying Star Feng Shui can print this out and go thru the step-by-step approach to figuring outthe equation - balanced or unbalanced in each of the flying star sectors and go into a systematic approach to apply an efficient cure.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	Please note that in the above example, I have not included the YEAR star. You can easily add or combined the YEAR star into the above and fine tune the above equation.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	If you are able to use this approach, I am very confident that you are on your way to have a solid grounding in Flying Star Feng Shui or the use of the Five Elements concept!<br />
	<br />

			1. In a recent forum message,<br />
			<br />
			I have proposed that:-<br />
			<br />
			1.1. Understand what element<br />
			<br />
			each of the numbers belong<br />
			<br />
			to.1.2. Whether they are<br />
			<br />
			strong or weak.1.3. Are each<br />
			<br />
			of the individual elements<br />
			<br />
			good or bad on it's<br />
			<br />
			own.&amp;n<br />
			<br />
			bsp; For example, #5 is<br />
			<br />
			a rotten (strong) earth<br />
			<br />
			element<br />
			<br />
			; Under<br />
			<br />
			period 8, #7 is also a bad<br />
			<br />
			(weak) metal<br />
			<br />
			element<br />
			<br />
			; Under period 8,<br />
			<br />
			#9 is the future prosperity<br />
			<br />
			star. But like a child, on<br />
			<br />
			it's own it is pretty good.<br />
			<br />
			But if it associates itself<br />
			<br />
			with #5 or #2 (both strong<br />
			<br />
			earth) #9 turns into a rotten<br />
			<br />
			kid.<br />
			<br />
			1.4. Understand the productive<br />
			<br />
			and destructive cycle of the<br />
			<br />
			Five elements concept<br />
			<br />
			thoroughly.<br />
			<br />
			2. If one does the above, one<br />
			<br />
			can have a good solid<br />
			<br />
			foundation in both<br />
			<br />
			understanding and harnessing<br />
			<br />
			the power of the Flying Star<br />
			<br />
			effectively.<br />
			<br />
			3. Sometimes, it is a pity<br />
			<br />
			some of us go to some Feng<br />
			<br />
			Shui forum and hear flowerly<br />
			<br />
			languages like 1 white, 2<br />
			<br />
			purple etc.. and many of the<br />
			<br />
			concepts seeks so eloquent and<br />
			<br />
			fantastic sounding but the end<br />
			<br />
			result is like the Hokkien<br />
			<br />
			expression " Lia Bo Qui" or<br />
			<br />
			literally translated: "<br />
			<br />
			Catch-no-balls.<br />
			<br />
			4. Therefore, in my opinion,<br />
			<br />
			learning, understanding or<br />
			<br />
			applying Flying Star Feng Shui<br />
			<br />
			is not all greek nor is it<br />
			<br />
			hidden in secrecy.<br />
			<br />
			5. THE LOWEST COMMON<br />
			<br />
			DENOMINATOR<br />
			<br />
			(L.C.M)<br />
			<br />
			Even Ba Zi or Pillars of<br />
			<br />
			Destiny uses this same common<br />
			<br />
			denominator or in mathematics<br />
			<br />
			is known as the "Lowest Common<br />
			<br />
			Denominator" (LCM) for short.<br />
			<br />
			6. FOR THE NOVICE OR NOT SO<br />
			<br />
			EXPERT IN FLYING STAR FENG<br />
			<br />
			SHUI<br />
			<br />
			1. For example, first try to<br />
			<br />
			slot each component into the<br />
			<br />
			productive cycle of the Five<br />
			<br />
			elements concept:-<br />
			<br />
			where we always have this<br />
			<br />
			productive cycle:-<br />
			<br />
			METAL -<br />
			WATER -<br />
			<br />
			<br />
			WOOD -<br />
			FIRE -<br />
			EARTH<br />
			<br />
			thus we should find out also<br />
			<br />
			what element and strength each<br />
			<br />
			of the numbers belong<br />
			<br />
			to:-Palace or base #7 = weak<br />
			<br />

	Hi,
</p>

<p>
	I am looking for a 3 bedder to rent next month. I have shortlisted Costa Del Sol, Cote D'Azur and Meyerise.
</p>

<p>
	But after reading some of your post, I am not sure which one to select now.
</p>

<p>
	I am someone who believes in Fengshui and how Fengshui can affect our life and career etc..
</p>

<p>
	I am a single mun with 2 kids and helper.
</p>

<p>
	My initial choice was Costa Del sol, then after reading your post, you mentioned The Bayshore is a better fengshui development, I am hesitating now.
</p>

<p>
	Meyerise was the 2nd option, as it is new and sea facing too but rental is slightly high side compared to Costa Del Sol.
</p>

<p>
	3rd Option is Cote D'Azur.
</p>

<p>
	Are you able to advise in general, which condo is a better fengshui out of the 3? At least for the next 2 to 3 years? <span><span><span><img alt=":)" data-emoticon="" height="20" src="https://www.cdn.geomancy.net/forums/uploads/emoticons/smile.png" srcset="https://www.cdn.geomancy.net/forums/uploads/emoticons/smile@2x.png 2x" title=":)" width="20" loading="lazy"></span></span></span>

	Dear Anon,
</p>

<p>
	1. In the event of a significant renovation, the house typically transitions to a Period 7 house, which spans from 1984 to 2003.
</p>

<p>
	2. For individuals residing in the same home for an extended period, particularly from Period 6, it is advisable to create a Flying Star Chart based on Period 6 for reference.
</p>

<p>
	3. Generally, the house is expected to become a 'Period 7' house. Nevertheless, there may be instances where the birth chart from Period 6 still closely aligns with the current situation. Therefore, it is important to consider Paragraph 3, especially during the initial two years following the renovation.

<p style="background-color:#ffffff;color:#353c41;font-size:14px;">
	1. From 2024 onwards, North previously with Double Auspicious #8's will become faded or gone prosperity at the frontage.
</p>

<p style="background-color:#ffffff;color:#353c41;font-size:14px;">
	2. Thus generally the home will be less lucky under Period 9.
</p>

<p style="background-color:#ffffff;color:#353c41;font-size:14px;">
	3. Check your layout to find where are the #9's located.
</p>

<p style="background-color:#ffffff;color:#353c41;font-size:14px;">

</p>

<p style="background-color:#ffffff;color:#353c41;font-size:14px;">
	4. The Mountain Star #9 at SW hopefully could at least be at the front door. And hopefully not the yard side of the home.
</p>

<p style="background-color:#ffffff;color:#353c41;font-size:14px;">
	5. Under Period 9, NE has the Water Star #1 while East the Mountain star #1. Considered auspicious.
</p>

<p style="background-color:rgb(255,255,255);color:rgb(53,60,65);font-size:14px;">
	6. Thus generally good to be in a bedroom or open space or living/dining room side.

<p>
	In fact, the issue is not solely about specific numbers; rather, it pertains to the inter-relationships among the elements and the strengths of each star in relation to one another. This process is quite intricate when determining the relationships between two stars and becomes even more complicated when analyzing three stars. Nevertheless, the analysis does not typically conclude there, as it is necessary to cross-reference this information with yearly data and subsequently with monthly data, culminating in a five-star analysis.
</p>

<p>
	For a two-star analysis, it is feasible to identify approximately 200,000 different interrelations among the stars. Additionally, the stars have yet to be connected to the directional element.
</p>

<p>
	Indeed, the aforementioned illustrates the relationship between wood, metal, and fire. This particular combination effectively harmonizes the elements, as the fire consumes the wood, which subsequently damages the metal. Conversely, the metal also harms the wood, resulting in a state of equilibrium. Provided that this combination remains undisturbed, it is deemed favorable.
</p>

<p>
	Typically, three elements are required to establish a balanced combination; therefore, when such combinations are observed, the outcome is no longer considered unfavorable.
</p>

<p>
	Regrettably, I cannot recall any specific instances as the charts typically undergo frequent changes. Moreover, even if a combination appears favorable, it may not be beneficial if the individual residing there is not compatible with it. For instance, a person possessing Strong Wood and Strong Metal under the aforementioned influences may not necessarily be advantageous, as their strength may be excessive for such influences. Conversely, an individual with Weak Water or even Strong Water could potentially establish a more favorable balance, as they are simultaneously reinforced by the Metal and depleted by the Wood.
</p>

<p>
	Regardless, it remains essential to correlate the stars with the individual residing in the house. Otherwise, no matter how excellent a house may be, if it does not align with the person, it will not serve them well. This highlights the limitation of the Flying Star system when it is not cross-referenced with the individual in the residence.
</p>

	Hello Feng Shui Masters Robert and Cecil,
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	Last year, 2024, we had the old Patio cover removed and new one installed.  Does redoing the patio cover count as a house rebirth?   I have attached pictures from Google Maps satellite view of the old patio cover.  I have also include pictures of patio covers that are similar to our  new patio cover.  The patio cover is located in the North-West sector of the homes lot.  The new patio cover is nicer looking and allows more light into house.
</p>

	Sincerely,
