1. Feng Shui is a holistic approach and there are many considerations, priorities and things like major or minor leaks - involved.

2. As all of us know, unless one builds a home from scratch; there is NO SUCH thing as a PERFECT home.

3. The Eight House (4 good or 4 bad) only takes into consideration one's YEAR of birth to determine whether one is an East or West group person.

4. In computer science : the term "Garbage-in, garbage-out". Don't get me wrong Eight House is not about "collecting garbage from the home and throwing it out!".

5. When analysis a sector to sleep; a more accurate method is known as "Ba Zi Feng Shui".

6. Flying Star - which is the siamese twin of Eight House (both belong to the compass school) is rooted under the "Five Elements concept".

7. Ba Zi users Five Elements concept.

8. Thus the common denominator of both Ba zi & Ba zi Feng Shui and Flying Star is = Five Elements concept.

9. Even if your bedroom is your "death" sector... and if your prosperity is in the toilet: if you have a long bath; go sleep there?

10. Thus, Feng Shui is about maximizing one's luck. Thus if one hits a brick wall with Eight House as there is no cure for this: Either you sleep there or if you not - that's all.

11. One could concentrate on other areas of Feng Shui: e.g. use Flying star to analyse the elements (under Five Elements concept) - and correct any imbalance if any and ba zi (favourable colours? water element? Blue etc...

12. More importantly fix major leaks in the home. For example, if the situation is equivalent to e.g. a small dent on the front fender of your car, I am sure, it will still pass the British call MOT test. In Singapore we call the Vehicle inspection to check if it is safe or not. Fundamentally, if the car leaks carbon dioxide this is dangerous... vs a small dent on the fender. Which is more crucial? Or if the brakes fail vs the small dent? What is more important, here?

13. One of the key success factors is:-

The Concept of Maximizing Marks

As mentioned earlier, there is no such thing as a perfect interior arrangement of a home unless one consults a geomancer and start from scratch.

Just feint ignorant, would be best! As unfortunately, many geomancer one encounters is usually not fluent enough in the subject and worse! Many push useless commercial products in the name of Feng Shui - to line their pockets with our hard earned money!
