After reviewing the Shapes and Forms Feng Shui guidelines in detail, it becomes quite clear that Fig 2 does not sit harmoniously with the bedroom door frame. It also creates a distinct visual effect often called a "zebra crossing," where the floor panels seem to somewhat conflict with the entrance to the bedroom area.
