Common sense & conceal gas pipes in Kitchen
Several Executive condos and condos are close to the supply of piped gas.
For cosmetic reasons, some of these developments conceal the gas pipes into the plastered walls.
In the past, there was one occasion where a contractor drilled into the wall to mount the kitchen cabinet(s). And gas leaked into the kitchen and into the entire apartment.

Beware of concealed gas pipes when renovation:

1. Ensure that concealed gas pipes are not damaged.

2. Locate concealed gas pipes using your houe's gas pipes layout plan or with a metal detector.

3. Any work on gas pipes should be done by a licensed gas service worker.

4. Request City Gas to temporarily cut off gas supply during your renovations.

5. A damaged gas pipe will result in a gas leak.
