Staff Cecil Lee Posted May 29, 2013 Staff Share Posted May 29, 2013 Common sense & conceal gas pipes in KitchenSeveral Executive condos and condos are close to the supply of piped gas.For cosmetic reasons, some of these developments conceal the gas pipes into the plastered walls.In the past, there was one occasion where a contractor drilled into the wall to mount the kitchen cabinet(s). And gas leaked into the kitchen and into the entire apartment.Found: this useful warning tip (see attachment). Location: Notice board at the EC: Park Green @Rivervale Link.Beware of concealed gas pipes when renovation: 1. Ensure that concealed gas pipes are not damaged. 2. Locate concealed gas pipes using your houe's gas pipes layout plan or with a metal detector. 3. Any work on gas pipes should be done by a licensed gas service worker. 4.
