ACTUNG! WARNING NOTE: SEE A LOWER THREAD WHERE IT WAS FOUND THAT THE SALES BROCHURE'S NORTH MARKING IS NOT EXACTLY CORRECT!

***********************************************

Case Study: Creek at Bukit and Flying Star Feng Shui based on (or relying upon) Sales Brochure's sitemap's North marking

1. These Blocks 15, 15A, 17, 17A, 19 and 19A have identical facing directions. [With the exception of Blocks 13 and 13A.]

59835777e7d22_Creek-flyingstars3.thumb.png.54f87889c39d80dc5ac886bb463c5e67.png

2. N3 Facing stacks:

2.1 N3 facing consists of stacks 21, 22, 23, 29, 30 31, 34, 36, 37, 39, 42, 44, 45, 46, 49, 50. From now to 2023; these stacks has the double auspicious WS #8 and MS #8 wasted at the rear of the unit.

2.2 By the way the frontage is at N3 (standing inside the living room looking outwards)

3. S3 Facing stacks:

3.1 S3 facing stacks are 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 11, 12, 13, 19, 20, 24, 25, 26 27 28, 32, 33, 36, 37, 39, 42, 51 & 52. These stacks are the reverse of the N3. Thus have totally different Feng Shui.

3.2 The frontage of these stacks enjoy the double auspicious #8 stars x2  at the frontage: the living room facing direction and even more excellent if there is real water at this frontage.

3.3 Take for example stacks such as 24 and 27 where these stacks fully take advantage of the living room and bedrooms that are south facing literally has a pool in-front of them.

3.4 Both N3 and S3 stacks favours or an added advantage especially for the East group breadwinner.

3.5 Fire at Heaven's Gate: The only concern for a S2/3 facing chart is that so often, the kitchen may be located at NW sector. Which in Feng Shui is called: "Fire at Heaven's Gate". And this can affect the male breadwinner's career luck.

4. Kitchen Location: Thus for a South facing (S2/3) best to select a unit where the kitchen is either at North or North-east sector is preferred.

5. Afternoon Sun:  Block 15A stacks 32 and 33 will throughout the year will have indirect afternoon sun. Which means there is no running away from afternoon sun slanted at an angle.

5.1 For stack 33 and even stack 34 the sides e.g Master bedroom wall will often be soaked by afternoon sun. Hopefully, this heat will not ooze out at 6 to 8 pm. If so, can make the master bedroom warm. And there goes the air-con bill.. going up and up...

5.2 Below image: Block 15A stacks 33 and 32 = afternoon sun all year round. Yipee! for stacks 27 and 28. Literally no afternoon sun. The only time these stacks = 27 and 28 will have is only during noon around 12 to 1pm when the sun is directly over-head. So does every other stack/unit in Singapore during that time:-

5983588175d3b_block15and15a.thumb.png.8dc9553edda8b54e8414c00abee38fbc.png

5.3.  As the plot gets narrower; this is an advantage for Block 15 stacks 27 and 28. As these stacks will be shielded from afternoon sun: thanks to Block 15A stack 32: which juts out.

Case Study: Sha Qi or Poison arrows

1. The 45 degree Poison Arrow: Common Poison arrow at 45 degrees angle of the edge of a block/stack.

1.1. In this illustration, this 45 degree angle is in RED. And it seems to be aimed from stack 46 towards stack 38 and vice-versa.

1.2. The good news is that like the "noise cancelling" headphones.. this RED arrow seems to cancel each other out. As they point to each other's block corner.

1.3. Fortunately, they cancel each other. As the distance between both blocks are a concern if indeed, the RED arrow is an issue.

2. Sha Qi: as illustrated via the 3 thick yellow arrows:-

59835b2d025ab_Creekshaqiorpoisonarrows.thumb.png.3c0996e50214f605c4f506b06de7ad5c.png

2.1. Some Feng Shui practitioners will scream out loud and even some layman or layperson may cry fowl. As to them; this is another "kind" of Sha Qi.

2.2. Logically this is harder to justify. Especially if the two stacks 35 and 46 are of same or identical height. And even if they have RC ledges that protude like fins. Again, these should cancel each other out.

2.3 In my opinion, I consider it still inauspicious but instead or rather based more of Shapes and Forms qi flow or possible imbalance of qi flow. Here, see below. Part of the "face" (the pink zone) of stack 35 is exposed to the elements. Thus, it is like winding down a car window and the car is moving at 100 miles per hour. If it is a car; one may hear the deafening noise of the wind depending on which side the windows are wind-down:-

59835eafdb2ce_Creekshaqiorpoisonarrowsyellow.thumb.png.725d4d364585f704535199250fe706c5.png

2.4 For stack 35; fortunes can be up or down or change depending on the qi flow towards, past the stack/unit.

2.5 Ups and also Down moments: Thus especially not as ideal for a business person. Still a concern for the salaried person. If his was the 198s to 1990s.. then less impact. But in today's Singapore where higher chance of job instability ... due to massive influx of FTs.. this can compound or tip the balance for that poor salaried worker... and a higher chance even for retrenchment(s).

3. Blocks 13, 13A with 15, 15A and 17, 17A are not exactly parallel to each other. But roughly in three "layers". This is usually the norm type of layout.

3.1. For example; at the broadest of the plot is a near parallel block 15 with 15A.

3.2. The next layer 15A is still uniform parallel with block 15 but a slight disappointment with block 15 more pronounced set further.

3.3. Block 17 and 17A are roughly parallel to each other though stagged.

3.4. What I am trying to say is that these three layers below will allow for a more EVEN qi flow througout the frontage of each of these stack:-

5983631a5eea8_Creekroughlyparalleltoeachother1.thumb.png.b34fe5e53b58b34e2375e40432a266bb.png

In sky blue, above. Qi or wind flow between the three "layers" are quite even and smooth as compared to the half-faced stack 35 with uneven flow...as mentioned under Para 2.3 above.

Case Study: The Sterling Condominum at Bukit Timah vs Creek @ Bukit

Reference: -

1. In 1999 I wrote to explain why a triangle plot of land like The Sterling Condominum. The Sterling condo T.O.P. two years later in 2001.

2. Imagine this: the base (or the broadest point) of this pyramid plot is at the main road side and guard room. And literally, as it moves up slope one reach the apex units. There are only two there. And these are two best stacks/units.

3. The Creek is a totally different cup-of-tea. The triangular plot cannot even be considered a proper pyramid shaped. It is more a squashed cone shape.

4. Okay.. for those who have bought it and don't like to hear bad reviews.. sorry, lah.. I change it to "a wonderful bouquet of flowers" or an "Olymic torch?.. Happy now?

5983b104e9ae5_bouquetofflowers.thumb.png.8c9d95fb5416db47832f99d7637b8fbb.png

4.1. How about an ice-cream cone. Where obesity after eating all those ice-creams breed.. fat and happy families...

5. Under Shapes and Forms Feng Shui, much like a landed plot; the safer blocks are those around 13, 13A, 15, 15A, 17 and 17A. 19 and 19A is closer to the borderline. Please don't ask me about stacks 51 and 52! Ouch!

Case Study: Sales Brochure Sitemap vs Streetdirectory.com

1. It is always good to compare compass readings from the Sales brochure with maps like streetdirectory.com and onemap.sg.

1.1. For onemap.sg, unfortunately, close to T.O.P. or on or after T.O.P. that the outline of the blocks shows up.

2. I took the compass readings from streetdirectory.com. And learned that most likely that the "once-in-a-while" thing has happened i.e. the Sales brochure's sitemap North marking is most likely incorrect. The last inaccurate site map was that of Hillvista at Elizabeth Drive.

3. The compass readings via streetdirectory.com shows the majority of the blocks other than 13 and 13A are Flying Stars N2 and S2. While the sales brochure shows N3 and S3. The difference is sufficient to change the charts from N3 to N2 and S3 to S2.

5983b6469a933_STREETDIRECTORYCREEKATBUKIT.thumb.png.8e0592492c8c128479b9b64a30b998a6.png

3.1. Luckily, for this development: the Flying Star chart numbers are identical for a N2 = N3 and S2 = S3 chart. Thus even if the sales brochure's North marking is considered inaccurate; the Flying star numbers are identical.

5983b775babc5_1-24Mountains-ANDSECTORS2AND3.gif.e8120c9efd03b95e61fa3057ffeefa0f.gif

3.2. Just make sure that when one place the compass markings onto the Flying Star template, orientate the unit correctly to that of the N2 or S2 chart.

3.3. Can I use onemap.sg to compare the compass directions?

5983bc033d99e_thecreekatbukit.png.a543d6ddd4b37952e8b4014c9caf3280.png

3.3.1 Unfortunately, as one can see from the above. Onemap.sg only shows the outline of the blocks close to or just after T.O.P.

3.3.2 Use onemap.sg only after the development has T.O.P.

Case Study: No visible signs of where are the power sub-station and bin centre?

There is really no indication of where these two: power sub-station and bin center are? In the Sales brochure sitemap. All the sitemap tells are lovely this, lovely that...hmm..

5983c1c2649bc_Powersub-stationandbincentre.thumb.png.7547a4da6c2972c85f0fa4f7b96da9fb.png

Highly unlikely that it is at the main entrance. As I don't seem to see anywhere a bin truck could possibly drive-up to especially where one would assume that it could be close to Toh Tuck Road.

Or could it be that the rubbish truck has to pass by Block 13 and or towards Block 15 area to collect the rubbish?

Many years ago each time we go to a new launch; my mum always asks two questions:-

1. Where is the rubbish bin? If the answer was it is at the lobby; she would stop short and no longer interested in looking at the layout.

2. The second question she will ask is: "Is there a one-to-one car park?" if the answer was .. this development only has 70% car parks as it is near to MRT. Guess what? She will also stop viewing the show room.

3. Looking at this development, defintely the rubbish bin is at the lobby...

Creek-E-brochure_18.thumb.png.73ea9520f398646f7c6e198516d752a9.png

3.1. Thus, best to find out exactly where it is before signing the dotted line...

4. Today, my mum would be asking a third question: Are the interior walls dry walls or solid? Guess what she will do if she hears that they are not solid? What do you think?

4.1. Unfortunately, nowadays even freehold properties stop short of all solid interior walls. Only older developments that are 8 years or older may have guaranteed sold walls, today.

5. Many of the points in this link are relevant to The Creek...

5.1 I believe most of us would prefer not to own a home next to this..,

Case Study: Soho-Style 3 Bedroom Stack 51

Based on common sense (or some call it Common sense Feng Shui); it is best to avoid sleeping with the head close-by sharing the wall as the WC. See below, highlighted in Yellow:-

5983ccd01a9b9_bed-headsharingsamewallaswc-wcpipe.thumb.png.b9bbd387f3f43b481c6d1dbc17e2d5a0.png

Why common sense: the sewerage pipe is at this side of the wall.

On 26 February 2023 & it’s surroundings

Nowadays many condos and ECs relaxed the rule of drying laundry at the balcony railing. There are often by-laws against this.

For example, just after Ecopolitan EC  T.O.P. the Managing Agent also issued a circular similar to below…

Seems like The Creek is not having any of these!
