Or Balestier Hill Shopping Centre was once on a Chinese cemetry? Novena Church was build on once upon a time; a Chinese monastery. This is a 1954 map of Singapore:- Today, the road Kamgpong Chia Heng is no more. Instead, Irrawaddy Road replaces this road. And Irrawaddy Road now joins Balestier Road directly with Thomson Road.
