And 800 metres from the old Chinese Swimming club fronting the sea. In the 1970’s the main pool was located on the same side of where Nyon will be. Fond memories of the area. As every weekend, my brother and me were brought to the Chinese Swimming Club for seeming lessons. Dr Chan Ah Kow then was training his Daughter and competing swimmers. Ours was just for healthy exercise and the skill of freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, diving and floating at the deep pool. None of the butterfly stroke thing.
