Hi, I wonder why these two stars are considered so differently. Is it because 8-5 is considered different from 5-8 ? Why? Thanks

Hi,

This is because usually, we consider the interaction between the two stars (1st star vs 2nd star).

1) 1st star for example if 2 or 5 are bad earth star. So 2nd star 8 (auspicious earth star for example), will only make star 2 and 5 even stronger first, and exhausting the star 8 which weakens the auspicious star 8. Hence, it will be inauspicious.

2) 1st star for example if 8 which is weak earth is auspicious, but with star 2 or 5 another earth star will actually make auspicious star stronger first, while weakening star 2/5, hence making star 2 and 5 weaker. Thus reducing the impact of the star 2 first. However, because both are also earth, star 2 and 5 will still have inauspicious influence. And with any element that is of the same element there will also be competition between the two elements.

So, both will still not be ideal combination, but para 2 since it make auspicious star stronger first, will thus weaken the inauspicious influence thus reducing the impact to netural or average depending on the base star. Thus, para 2 will be deemed less auspicious between the two combinations.

So the order of which star comes into contact with which star, affects the overall outcome of the interaction of the two stars. That's why 8-5 or 5-8 will have different interpretations.

Warmest Regards
