Sure. But we cannot incorporate the side gate into the main gate right, such that there is a frame and people have to bend over to get into the house. Correct?

Grandmother’s tale. For small terraces, perhaps this is the only way to have it.

As common as grains of the sand in a beach. Even many semi-d has this.

Not like one is so old that cannot bend down. No harm also to exercise the neck

Furthermore this side gate incorporated into the main gate saves space and the most cost effective method.. practised long long time ago.

Even my grandfather’s bungalow built on the 1950’s once had such a side gate, then.

Even new and modern terrace homes also has a side gate built into the main gate...

Another consideration (not Feng Shui) is that all auto gates are suppose to swing into the home.

Unlike many older houses where the owners “illegally swing” it outwards. This is because an innocent pedestrian could be caught out if the walk right towards the five foot way and slam against the opening gate...
