The lift serves 2 units however the lift door faces the unit directly.its not facing parallel as there are about 3-steps to go up main door. So main door is sitting higher than lift door. main door direction is NE.

So main door will be very dark too unless the side door beside lift is kept open. Photo attached is when side door is open.CD7E40F3-DAF6-46ED-A534-2D56865FFDAA.thumb.jpeg.1f8186182ca12f8aa0068649895f5b78.jpeg

is this ok? Any remedies?

image.png.314ee42935d579bb2d73953b52327dcb.png1. In my opinion this has more to do with a stigma than Feng Shui as almost every single thing is often "pushed" to it.

2. For example, the main common sense reason as to why it is inauspicious is that of privacy. As common sense says either often one has to momentarily loiter at the lift lobby for a while until the lift door opens.

3. A tendency of human nature is to gaze one's eyes at our surroundings especially if a unit's front door is opened. How often many of us would peer curiously into a home... see it's decor and or see what activity is happening within? Having a dinner and dining table in full view etc....

4. Thus all these sums to one word: Privacy or lack of it if one's front door is opened. Or that because of this, some who would like to have the front door left open to make the home airy.. now.. have to think twice or thrice about it.

5. Often some architects try to avoid having a front door facing a lift opening is because, there is a higher incidence of a fire engulfing a home than vice-versa. Which may result in smoke engulfing the lift lobby area or flow into the lift air-well and as well as into the lift.

5.1. Good that it is mandatory that front doors facing a lift or near to one has at least a 1/2 hour fire rating.

6. As one can see, all these are really purely common sense.

7. But when it comes to a potential resale of the unit, some may get low-ball offers or rejected because of or especially that of Para 3. Thus no amount of convincing can sway some that this has merely to do with a stigma of sorts. And really, really nothing whatsoever to do with Feng Shui.

In Feng Shui, there are many Indian Chiefs with their various opinions and preferences.

More so, if one happens to hire a conservative FSM and/or a highly mixed-religious one...

Such FSMs eat, sleep, eat and sleep again on the front door. Some of these have a habit of even tilting the front door. LOL.

Another is the mentality of the home owners who asks similar questions as this:

“Is there a need to put aspicious fu dog or anything at the main door”

More likely this becomes this sets the tone for some FSMs to exploit someone’s vulnerability and/or their feel erh.. good or PACIFIED.. LOL

I call this “The Pacifier syndrome”.... LOL or a Comforter of sorts...23565CD3-16EA-46FA-B9D0-0EADA4EA3DA2.thumb.jpeg.8a546cafd00ab1cbea09ccf0411000e5.jpeg
