What's good from him is bad for me

I hope you can help me. I need to know what to do when my husband is a South East house while I am a North East house in Eight House Feng Shui.
Please let me explain a few things how I think they appear according to the Eight House chart:
We want to buy this condominium unit. Our unit's front door will face North. For my husband, this is his Prosperity area. It is my Spook area.
(Also, the condominium building's door faces South.)
Our living room is South West - South, his Health and Spook area and my Prosperity and disaster area.
Our bedroom is East - Southeast, his Longevity and Excellent area, while being my Irritation and Death area.
Our bathroom is actually an extension in the North East, his Death area and my Excellent area.
Our kitchen is Northwest - West, his Disaster and Irritation area, while being my Health and Longevity area.
Here's my questions if you think we should purchase the unit:
1) I want to paint the living room a light lavender with green and red striped furniture. What are the best colors for us?
2) My husband is the main breadwinner and is a professional executive chef. The kitchen is in a bad location for him. Does this matter? Also, I've read a kitchen in the North West is not a good thing. What colors do I need to use in there?
3) What colors and elements can I use to combat all the water and bad vibes from my toilet in the North East, my Excellent area?
