myfs_82924
Dear CecilI have a big and heavy projection TV on my attic (3rd floor) which is located at the front part of the building. This attic is directly above our master bedroom. By placing the TV there, am I accidentally activating the mountain star which is not supposed to be done on the front portion of the house regardless which level it is in now? Is activating mountain star in front consider bad?Can I just shift it to one of the corners of the attic room (somewhere which is not the main facing of the building)? OR must I move it out and place it at the rooms behind?Thank you and best regardsGuek Rian
Staff Cecil Lee Posted August 13, 2002 Staff Share Posted August 13, 2002 Dear Guek Rian,1. In my opinion, don't shift your heavy projection TV as yet.2. Basically, each floor has a certain kilo newton weight load bearing.3. More importantly, the concept of clear space is directed at the main entrance area. Distinct from what is placed above this structure. With sufficient engineering load bearing for the upper floors, since the location where you placed the projector is not the main entrance area; there is relatively no issue here. Therefore, do not apply the mountain star too rigidly or literally speaking.Warmest Regards,Cecil Quote On 8/13/2002 11:05:00 PM, Anonymous wrote:Dear CecilI have a big and heavyprojection TV on my attic (3rdfloor) which is located at thefront part of the building. This attic is directly aboveour master bedroom.
