  1. Dear cecil, I read somewhere that if the office or apartment door faces a row of elevators and it is not feasible to put a screen there then one should put a large cactus near the row of elevator to neutralize the sha chi from the row of elevators. Thanks.
  2. Dear cecil, I read somewhere that the Grand Duke theory is applicable inside as well as outside the house. Is this true. Also read that One should avoid digging at the Grand Duke position also opposite the Grand Duke position. Is it true. For inside the house one should avoid sleeping or sitting in the direction of Grand Duke and opposite the GD position. Is it true. One should not keep any moving thing like fans or TV or plants in these two direction. Is it true. One should not activate mountain star in these direction. Is it true. Thanks.
  3. Dear cecil, Why turkey and turkey product not included in chinese cuisine. The chinese cuisine basically includes lots of chinese vegetables, pork, duck, chicken and lots of sea food and beef but never turkey or turkey products. Thanks.

  6. Dear cecil, I read somewhere that living close to school is not good since there is yin and yang imbalance(since there is abundance of yang energy during the day due to children but at night it is too quite). But the house where main door faces the park is considered good. I needed to know wont there be yin and yang imbalance here also since parks are filled with people during the day but empty at night. Thanks.

Since it is important for some users/readers like me to know that since this is a moderated site. So wanted to sure that this site believed in the freedom of speech of the user.
  8. Dear cecil, I posted this question before and you asked to paste a picture. I am unable to paste a picture but I am providing a furniture site (www.japanesegifts.com) which shows a 7 step tans u cabinet. Hope after seeing it you can provide the information. Whether it is good or bad to keep it in house from feng shui perspective since there are so many do's and don'ts regarding the staircase and step tans u cabinet resemble like a staircase. Thanks.
  9. Dear cecil, Its a political question. We will understand it if you decide not to answer it. How do most free Buddhist chinese people feel about the occupation of Tibet and mistreatment of the monks and that the highest leader of the Buddhism the Dali lama is forced to live in exile. And what are they doing for the freedom of Tibet and protection of their religion. Thanks.
  10. Dear cecil, Since chinese people consider it inauspicious to keep caged birds. Does that mean there are no zoo's in the Taiwan and Hong Kong. Thanks.
  11. Dear cecil, I read somewhere that chinese people consider owl very inauspicious bird. Is there any truth in this. Thanks.
  12. Dear cecil, My hall way is in the center of house and due to lack of light in the area. I wanted to hang the lamp with 5 lights in the center. Will it have any negative affect.( Flying star in the center are good). Thanks.
  13. Dear cecil, I read somewhere that the kitchen and bathroom sinks and bath tubs should be kept closed to prevent house chi from escaping. Is there any truth in this. Thanks.
  14. Dear cecil, In the studio apartment the living room and bedroom and the kitchen and toilet are all in one space without any walls. Since one sleeps there and the kitchen sink is also there. Will it be considered water ( water in the bedroom). Or it will not affect the individual sleeping there. Thanks.
  15. Dear cecil, I can understand that you get irritated with the secondary or sometimes silly questions asked by the users/reader. But I think its not users fault. They did not cook up these secondary questions. They are the result of the black sect tartaric buddhism and other feng shui books popping in the market. There are not many books on the traditional feng shui in the market. And questions like the bunk bed are bad, water beds are bad are mentioned in these books. Some even go so far as to say that to enhance ones wealth one needs to put a pakua mirror in SE of the room and you can see that in the recent movie also called next best thing(starring Madonna and Rupert evertt). I do not know what was the reason they put it there but one can see a palm sized pakua mirror hang next to the child's bed in the movie. In other book by a author who recommends placing a pool of water if any section is missing in the house. They do not mention any thing about other consideration. The books even as far to say that having ceiling fans in the home is bad since they cut the chi of people. So you see the users/readers are made aware of these silly and incorrect things by the recent books on feng shui. And I think its a good thing that they are asking the questions so that it can be clarified once and all and the future users/readers can benefit by this knowledge. I hope you will be patient and kind enough to answer these questions. Also I hope you will bear with the users till they become more knowledgeable about feng shui after all its a brand new subject and concept. Would like to hear your views on this. Thanks.
  16. Dear cecil, Can changing ones facial features by plastic surgery changes ones fortunes? Thanks.
  17. Dear cecil, I read somewhere that to circulate the chi under a sloping ceiling is to keep a aquarium under the sloping ceiling. Is this true. Thanks.
  18. Dear cecil, What is the meaning if the mole is little higher than the one shown in #20 in between the eye brows. I read somewhere that it means lucky since it signifies pearl between the two dragon. Secondly what does it mean if the mole is on left nostril. And if the mole is on the right top of the ear. Thanks.
  19. Hi every one, I was troubled by reading the experience of the user who is afraid of being harmed by a medium/consultant. I think it is very important to do a thorough back ground check of the consultant by asking a lot of question and asking for the qualification of the consultant and also asking for the reference and making sure one checks the references since there are too many fake consultants popping up in the market who are waiting to dupe people and make money. Secondly, one should not be afraid of asking question of the consultant in the fear that one might offend the consultant. Well it is necessary since one will be bringing the consultant to their private space which is home and one does not invite strangers to home if one is not comfortable with them since home is their private space. When one goes to buy a car or purchase a home or any big purchase usually one does a intensive research and checks lot of things and ask lots of question and I think hiring a consultant should be the same if one wants to feel comfortable and have peace of mind. And I think if the consultant is genuine they wont mind answering a few questions since its their job and if one gets offended well then consultant is not worth it if they have attitude and lack kindness and sensitivity. Since customer should always come first since they are in business because of the customer. And I think its better not to do feng shui then to get it done by a fake consultant and lose money and peace of mind and worry about ones safety and the family's safety and disturb the sanctity of the home. Would like hear other peoples view on this.
