My front door faces a flight of steps going up and then directly down to my backdoor - I hung a metal windchime outside my front door to mitigate. I also try not to use my front door as best I can. However, my chime is making a lot of noise and I am afraid of disturbing my neighbours (I live in a patio home) so I stuff each chime with some cotton to stop the ringing.... please help - is that ok? How else can I 'cure' my front door facing stairs/to back door ailment? Thank you so much!!
