  2. Hello - My wife and I recently purchased a small log cabin in the mountains as a place to escape to on the weekends and raise a family. We absolutely love it up there. Out of obvious practical reasons, the cabin uses a spiral staircase (see pics) to access the loft space. My wife, a firm believer in Feng Shui practice, is very concerned about both the location and the nature of this staircase. Before I remove it though (as I promised I would), I would like some feedback to see whether or not there is another option to mitigate the potential negative energy that might result from this feature. I am hoping to find a way to "save" this staircase, as it does seem to be the best solution to access the loft in such a small space. Thanks in advance for your advise. Sincerely, - olaf
