Recently moved into new home, and there is a willow tree directly in line with the front door. Sadness? How to antidote? Or, cut down completely?

I have recently been diagnosed with an autoimmune disorder, which is quite debilitating. I became symptomatic weeks after moving into a new home. We have black furniture with gold trim in the bedroom. Could this be part of the cause?

We have recently moved to a wonderful new home, in all aspects it feels harmonious. The two previous owners only stayed 1-2 years - leaving for marital or health reasons. I have attempted to feng shui shui the areas using the compass method. There is a young willow tree in a line in front of the front door. (L shaped house) and I know willow trees bring sadness. I have hung metal chimes in the tree between it and our front door. Will this anecdote the energy? Which is the most beneficial method of feng shui - compass or BSTB? thank you Sasha Kay-Grummett
