room location and room doors

my main door is at the southeast area. my mom is a north person. she is using the bedroom at the southeast location. however, the bedroom door is open at the northwest part of the bedroom.at present she is sleeping at the east location of the room.it seems that the room is in the right location but the door is open in the wrong place. so I'm not sure if her bed isthe correct location? In determining the good and bad location, do i use southeast or northwest direction for the room?
