Dear Cecil,
In case of flowering plants and trees, does it matter what direction one puts them?
eg: red flowered ones in E-SE-S, or no white flowered ones in S??
What about thorny plants like cactii, aloe vera?

I have been given to understand that spiny, spikey plants are best avoided within the home and only used defensively at the exterior boundary, if needed.
