question on elements

Hi,
I noticed that in my chart, I have 0 water, 4 wood, 1 fire,5 earth and 2 metal. I understand that I am strong earth and will need to reduce the strong earth element. However, I also have no water in my chart. I now wonder which element should I enhance, water (which i have none) or wood (which i think I have enough of).
Also, I was told that wood is my 'spouse' element. Does that mean that if I want my relationship to go well, I should also enhance the wood element?
