Feng shui for office and overhead beam

Master Lee,

I just moved to a new office building. We all have cubicles.The problem is, there are overhead beamsholding light fixtureshung fromtheceiling, one is cutting directly on top of my head where I am sitting. As I can't move to another cubicle, what can I do about this overhead hanging beam?

Also, aside from working hard, what are good feng shui practices to gain career recognition or promotions or to keep away from office politics.
