career crossroads

Recommended Posts

Dear Cecil,

I have been jobless for over a year and am desperate. I'm a yang wood monkey born on a monkey day and with fire and metal as my weakest elements. I have been following your last discussion and am wondering if I should be paying more attention to my bazi chart. I hope you can give me the guidance I need.

You always say that one can take advatnage of one;s wealth element if one is yang and has dominated their lucky elements. how do i knowwhen I have incorporated sufficient beneficial things to use my wealth element?. I always said i would open a restaurant when /if i was rich-that's earth, right?

My professional hisrtoy is very complex: I did a Bachelors in Mass communications, then a masters in INternational relations, then worked in marketing, but got laid off a few years ago so lost faith in that field and chose to go into a more creative branch. I recently graduated from interior design but haven;t had any luck finding cleints or deciding which area of design i should go into or specialize in. Do you have any idea? Should i be concentrating on the commercial, residential or event decoration? I am having a hard time deciding what to do becasue I feel like I can do so many things, but don;t know which would give me success. In fact, i've also been talking to a friend abt starting a relocation services business for foreigners(help them find housing, school, advice them on travel, etc) but am not sure about what element that would be.

PLus, I have always dreamt of tv production-but thought that since it was a wood career, I should stay clear of it. I even had an interview in Naval intelligence. I would hate to get it and then find that becasue it's water, I'd be going agaisnt my own interest! So, in your opinion, should I go for a profession I like, find challenging or am good at?

Would appreciate your kind help.

Thanks.

Analia
