Question on Period 7 house

I read in one of your advice that you have to check the flying star for a particular period first, cure any afflictions, then act on the flying star of the year. Does this mean that if my house is in period 7, I have to cure first any affliction in period 7, enhance the other stars in period 7, then check the flying stars in 2005. Please advice because I am really confused with what to do like:

NW - for Period 7, I have water star and mountain star 7, base star 8 and my death direction is this sector. For 2005, star 5 is in this sector. What am I going to do?

EAST - for period 7, base star 5 reside here, but mountain star 1 and water star 4 is here. For 2005 annual 2 and 3 stars are here.

Which flying star chart should I follow, period 7 or 2005 so that I could enhance my financial situation. I have beenin this distressing situation for 3 years already. Please help me. Thank you very much.
