Furniture placing - Feng Shui or Commom sense

Dear FS Master,


May I know is it a bad placing of furniture of the below situation related to Feng Shui or Common sense


1) Closed cabinet shoe rack (not the open rack type) not suitable to be place near the main door.


2) Closed cabinet shoe rack (not the open rack type) not suitable to be placenearthe altar (Buddha or Kwan Ying) although there is a gap of 9-10 inch in between.
