Prosperity Corner

Hello, thank you so much for your attention!
I am about to move into an apartment where, in the prosperity corner (as determined by the main door), a neighbor with a previous tenant's permission put in a hose to tap water from this apartment to his own shack outside for minor water use. I am wondering if this will symbolize my prosperity getting lost, along with the flow of water going out. In which case I will ask the user to kindly tap someone else's water.
Or maybe I should just go along with it and do a good deed. The user is paying about five dollars a month for the service. Is there another solution to the problem?
