Bedroom above Kitchen, kua6, weak water

I am kua 6 and my favourable element is weak water.
Unfortunately i am situated above the kitchen in the SW of a E1 facing house with my bed facing South (Disaster direction). I cannot move my bed and I cannot use Earth element to neutralize the excess fire (from below or south), (I have tried this and it makes me feel very bad), so I have been using water imagery, shiny black fabric, and trays of water underneath the bed to calm things down a bit.
I have checked 8 mansion house luck and flying stars and it seems to be okay, apart from that excess water in SW may increase energy of the household Ho Hai. For me however i do feel a bit healthier.
Until now i have been feeling very unhealthy/irratable. I used to live above the garage on the east side of the house which was very yin and what i am used to. However, is it okay for me to continue using these remedies, or will the water bring bad luck in the long run? (I think i may add salt to the water as a cure)

UPDATE:
I recently placed a picture of some mountains and some water just outside my bedroom door and have felt much better.
Coincidentally i later found out thatI have found that my room has "double facing" small tai ji in period 6 chart of house - the remedy for which (improves health) is to add a mountain (and water form) in the front of the house / room.
