We can draw a parallel of the keen observation required by a Professor of medicine to the keen powers of observation; in Feng Shui.... The Power of Observation ! Students at the UH Med School were receiving their first anatomy class with a real dead human body. They were gathered around the surgery table with the body covered with a white sheet. Then the professor started the class by telling them: ?In medicine, it is necessary to have 2 important qualities as a doctor. The first is that it is necessary that you not be disgusted.? The Professor uncovered the sheet, sunk his finger in the ass of the dead body, withdrew it and sucked it. ?Go ahead and do the same thing,? he…

Sally jumped up as soon as she saw the Surgeon come out of the operating room. She said:"How is my little boy? Is he going to be O.K.? When can I see him?" The Surgeon said, "I'm sorry, we did all we could." Sally said, "Why do little children get cancer, doesn't GOD care any more? GOD, where were you when my son needed you?" The Surgeon said, "One of the nurses will be out in a few minutes to let you spend time with your son's remains before it's transported to the university". Sally asked that the nurse stay with her while she said good-bye to her son. Sally ran her fingers through his thick red curly hair. The nurse said, "Would you like a lock of his hair?" Sally nod…

Carjacking Foiled An elderly lady did her shopping and upon return found 4 males in her car. She dropped her shopping bags and drew her handgun, proceeding to scream at them at the top of her lungs that she ?knows how to use it and will shoot if required... so get out of MY car!? The 4 men didn?t wait around for a second invitation. They out and ran like mad, where upon the lady proceeded to load her shopping bags into the back of the car and got into the drivers seat. Small problem: Her key wouldn?t fit the ignition. Her car was identical and parked four or five spaces further down. She loaded her bags into her car and drove to the police station. The sergeant that she t…

An intriguing article that explores the concept of what constitutes 'true peace.' A depiction of tranquility... Once, a monarch announced a competition for the artist who could create the finest representation of peace. Numerous artists participated, and the king reviewed all the submissions. Ultimately, he found himself drawn to two particular works, necessitating a choice between them. The first artwork portrayed a serene lake, which served as a flawless reflection of the majestic mountains surrounding it. Above, a clear blue sky adorned with fluffy white clouds completed the idyllic scene. Viewers unanimously regarded this piece as the epitome of p…

Apparently, these two cutie babies (young children) were left by her mother outside a Video Shop. The video shop was showing a Korean film. And I believe the family are Koreans.. Note: The man in the picture does not belong to the family, as he left afterwards. The mum, around 20 minutes later appeared. How's this for unattended "child care" at a shopping centre. This shows how safe, Singapore is! For a mum to leave her childern to shop (perhaps nearb-by). By the way, the girl dropped a plastic bag containing some purchases by her mum. I helped picked it up and returned to the eldest (girl). She is very cute and offered me her drink!

Case Study 1: AC vs DC fans? Any advantages of a DC fan? These are some considerations: 1. AC fans have been around ever since electricity has been invented. 2. Generally, some find that DC fans costs more. Thus, in the long term; running costs are cheaper with a DC fan. Thus you do the maths. 3. AC fans can only spin one direction. Thus, the fan blades are optimized to "blow" wind downwards. 3.1. Here, DC fans have a distinct advantage. DC fans can be made to spin clockwise or anti-clockwise. Thus if so, instead of "blowing" wind downwards, it can also be made to "suck" air up to the ceiling. Thus especially if one has a high ceiling; the air can…

A Philosophy worth keeping A Nice Philosophy I believe- that we don?t have to change friends if we understand that friends change. I believe- that no matter how good a friend is, they?re going to hurt you every once in a while and you must forgive them for that. I believe- that true friendship continues to grow, even over the longest distance. I believe- that you can do something in an instant that will give you heartache for life. I believe- that you should always leave loved ones with loving words. It may be the last time you see them. I believe- that we are responsible for our actions, no matter how we justify it. I believe- that regardless of how hot and steamy a rela…
