If one has one's own garden, it is advisable not to anyhow place unknown scultures such as those in some of the pictures taken in the Imperial garden. This is because; under symbolism in Feng Shui, we try to avoid any objects that may look like "hungry mouths" or monster looking figurines.... these are considered inauspicous especially if their mouths are aimed towards one's home.

Again, this is pure commonsense that if we can avoid; try to avoid staying near to petrol stations. Where possible, since this new estate: Compassvale Beacon does not have any units on the ground level; try to avoid staying on the second or even third level; as a safety precaution against vapour or fumes from the daily pumping of petrol / diesel and the storage and filling up by petrol tanks..

Jewelry of the Ming period More than 200 pieces of jewelry were unearthed from Ding Ling. Majority are hair pins and eardrops; made with gold, silver, pearl and precious stones. The patterns on these items are mostly of good luck and happiness. The workmanship is superb, almost reaching near perfection.

Aloe Vera originates from North Africa. And some even call it "The Mother of all Miracle Plants!" Aloe vera is very popular as it is called the Elastoplast or a First Aid buddy. Thus it is used if one has cuts or even insect bites or even as a sun-block (sun-screen). It is also popularly used in skin care, shampoos and even as a refreshing drink that holds chunks of aloe vera. In ancient times, in Egypt, it is one of the ingredients or items used for embalming! Do be careful, if you walk along Kovan Road... as the owner of the home has planted a whole garden full of Aloe Vera plants both in his garden as well as this field of five-foot-way grass verge!

How to place a pair of bamboo flute to neutralise a concrete ceiling beam: Attached please find three pictures: 1. Picture 1: Shows how two bamboo flutes are placed on a ceiling beam. 2. Picture 2: Shows how a pair of bamboo flutes are placed i.e. the Dragon flute is placed on the `East' side. The phoenix flute faces the `West' side. 3. Picture 3: Shows how the two bamboo flutes form the profile of a Ba Gua trigram. Para 3 is not compulsory. I.e. u do not need to buy a dragon/phoenix flute. In most cases, it does not matter which side the pair of bamboo flutes are hung on the ceiling beam. This cure is so old school. And da…

This picture shows circular steps radiating outwards to ward of poision arrows or sha. This is similar to the Ming Tang or a circular pool of water outside a building radiating outwards. Similarly, one can cut a piece of carpet to be placed at the Main Entrance door to ward of a poision arrow. Warmest Regards Cecil

Re-visting The Linear Condo I first visited this development when it first T.O.P. in 2006. (Freehold 999years). Today.. it should be around 7xx plus years. But still aplenty! The roof profile is a striking similarity to Marina Bay Sands! Or rather: If Marina Sands is a large luxury cruiser; this one is much like a private yacht. Flying Star Feng Shui puts this development as Period 8 either E1 (morning sun) or W1 (afternoon sun + expect traffic noise along this stretch of road).

Architects should always remember this "Even if you don't stay there, think of the potential family that would be staying there!" On 19 Mar 2016, at 2:05 AM, M____ L_____ wrote an e-mail:- Hi Cecil, ... I should have read your analysis or column long ago or before purchase Skies Miltonia. FLYING STAR FENG SHUI OF STACK #12 These are some considerations: 1. As mentioned in Part 2, the current prosperity wealth stars from now until 2023 fall in the NE, where there is an auspicious mountain #1 star paired with water star #6. 2. Fortunately for Stack 12, there is a void and openings such as windows facing North (Bedroom 2), allowing some luck to enter if the windows on this side are opened regularly. 3. However, the most auspicious set of stars, the #8s in the North compass sector, is wasted between the kitchen and Bath 2 walls. Another auspicious star at the East is also blocked by a solid wall, preventing good qi from entering the unit. …

In this paranomic photo, you can see, at a distance, a profile of some of the towers of Suntec City, Singapore. This mega Shopping centre, office space and exhibition/convention hall uses, a smooth skin of reflective tinted glass covering it's skin. Considered as a defensive `posture'. To find out more about past postings of pictures of Suntec City, try to do a SEARCH for it under this forum.

Photos of Sky at Eleven. Photos taken from The Arte @ Thomson. Some ponder over buying a unit at Sky @ Eleven for the sole reason that the road leading to the condo is an old folks home. Literally, I know of an overseas businessman who bought a unit there and then decided to live in another luxury condo development. As his reason is because of the old folks home.

This figurine shows a dragon on green jade pearl on an ingot. It is suppose to be symbolic of `wealth collection'. More commonly, since many want to be convinced that there is a wealth corner; a Feng Shui practitioner may most likely `identify' a site. And perhaps, the customer, get hold of one of such `wealth retention or collection items. Warmest Regards, Cecil

A 1960's tailor's shop front still around today 1. Observe the mosaic tiles adorning the floor of the tailor shop. 2. This establishment located on Tanjong Katong Road features a distinctive shop front characterized by two expansive display windows flanking either side. 3. Such architectural styles were prevalent during that era, with numerous shops along prominent streets like North Bridge Road showcasing similar designs. "A Welcome FEEL of .... Kindly enter, please do come in." 4. It seems that marketing psychology was employed during that period, as the angled "V" display cabinets flanking either side were crafted to optimize display spac…

Cicada is considered auspicious because it symbolises happiness and eternal youth. A Cicada emerges from the ground after it pupates for four years. Sometimes it is seen emerging from the burial grounds. Here, the Chinese see it as immortality. This is the reason why some Chinese place a Jade cicada in the mouth of the dead before the burial. The cicada is often seen in Chinese paintings.

Two more pictures: 1. A really close-up picture showing clearly the candle-holders on each side and the joss-stick holder. 2. Please note that candles used are also red in colour. Chinese do not use white candle sticks on these altars. White signify `death'. (Although it does signify purity... but has such a meaning in this situation.
