This house is at a junction of a busy main road. 1. See what this houseowner has `done' to protect the house against Sha Qi (or poision arrows) from moving vehicles. 2. There are several close up views of how the house owner placed a row of " Earth lamp holders " on the side wall of the house. This is symbollically meant to keep the `compound' " bright ". To ehance qi. Besides this the owner also placed a potted catus plant on the wall where the traffic flow (sha qi) is pointed towards the house. ---- Readme: ----- Note: Apologies, I had uploaded the second picture: location-plan.psp under .psp (Paint Shop Pro format). Please do not download this unless you hav…

1. The Golden Dragon starts on 5 February 2000. It is called the Golden Dragon because `Gold' represents the Metal element or Metal-Dragon. It occurs every 60 years. Find out more from the series of article cuttings. Please note that some of the article is not re-produced. Only the essence of the articles are scanned for your information. This Bank in Singapore has two towers. = If you notice carefully in the picture, it does not aim poison arrow to itself but to neighbouring buildings. Its a case of poison arrows for `others' and not for self.

Designer's Layout plan showing inauspicious layout of beds (Master bedroom, bedroom 1 and bedroom 2) against the window. Revised plan with each of the beds against a solid wall. P.S. The TV sets were not shown in the bedrooms under the (second) Revised layout plan. Personally, it is still acceptable to have the TV sets in the room. This is part of `modern' living. Note: 1. This so far does not take into consideration the compass school of Feng Shui. 2. Look out for the placement of the bed on the opposite/next to wall of the toilet bowl. This is considered very inauspcious. For example, take a look at the master bedroom. You will see that the toilet bowl shares th…

1. In this layout plan, there is a `close-call' towards nature's call. 2. This layout is not-as-auspicious since the toilet bowls of the shared toilet and master bedroom are close to the centre-point of the house. 3. Owner will not be able to `retain cash'. And finance is always up and down with little savings left - at the end of the day. 4. If specific windows are opened in the living room; there is a direct path or sha qi from the main door to the balcony or living room window. This is `curable'. But secondary to the `toilet bowl' issue. Suggestion: If CAN, AVOID buying this unit.

1. This category of Ba Gua mirrors have the Fu Dogs as protection. 2. Sometimes, the owners may not have Fu Dogs on both sides of their premises and they like to feel comfortable with Fu Dogs. 3. Notice that the Model E & F Ba Guas in the picture with Fu Dog in the centre of the Ba Gua " clench' or bite on to two swords. 3. It has to do with the real figurines where some of these Fu Dogs bite on a sword each. I have also taken pictures of figurines of statues of Fu Dogs with the sword in this attachment. Overall, this category of Ba Gua mirrors are is used more for "protection" e.g. against evil spirits RATHER than to deflect Sha Qi or poison arrows. It is preferred …

Below, front cover, image size = 47k of a `pink' Chinese Wedding Card What we can understand after seeing the four samples of Chinese Wedding Invitation cards are:- 1. Traditional Chinese Wedding Invitation cards are Red and (newer cards) in Pink background. 2. All cards have the Double Happiness calligraph either in the modern form (wordings) or the traditional design. 3. Some traditional cards have a picture of the Phoenix (Female) and Dragon (Male). Thus you can understand why Red is considered an auspicious colour for the Chinese. However, many Chinese who are Christians, do use White Wedding Invitation card especially if it is a wedding at a church.

1. Chinese consider certain coins as an amulet to ward off evil. 2. The fish symbols on each of these amulets signify : abundance as the Chinese word of fish "yu" means just that! And fish symbols x 3 means wealth and every year - abundance of wealth!

LATITUDE @31 - 35 Jalan Mutiara, a freehold site completed in 2010. An interesting art piece: could it be that the two statues looks like an L and an inverted L? What do you think?

The Lama Temple or Yonghegong Lamasery: The Lamasery of Harmony and Peace was originally built by the order of Emperor Kangxi in 1694 and completed as a Lamasery in 1744, during the ninth year of Emperor Qianlong's reign. This temple has a 18 metre high statue of Maitreyathat made from a single piece of sandalwood. The following pictures shows a beautiful fruitingpersimmon tree in the grounds of the Lama Temple.

1. This picture shows the frontage of a Chinese rest house cum restaurant or shall we call it a motel, in Singapore in the 1940's. 2. It is interesting to see my father, on the right and a family member in the clothing of that period. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Vince, 1. Attached, please find a graphic illustration of the " rectangular " court-yard + the Chinese (mandarin) character for tree. 2. The two combined is called " KUN " or trapped or imprisoned. 3. This is another aspect of Symbolism in Feng Shui. 4. However, so long as you do not place any tree especially a single tree / plant at the this centrepoint, it is still acceptable. Warmest Regards, Cecil Lee

The Fortredale which was newer than many of the developments had enbloc and sold has sold for around $65 million. Thank God for it. As for liveability; it each unit looks more like a fish aquarium when one walks past it during both day and night! However, somehow, in it's place The Line, even with it's enticing lucky draw of a BMW 3 series vehicle ... seems in my opinion to suffer from poor sales... (where each unit is sold roughly at 2,xxx per sq feet.

Koi's are actually carps. Many instead of keeping real fishes purchase paintings of Koi's swimming. Most of the paintings usually have 9 Koi's swimming. (A few paintings have 8 fishes). In Mandarin 9 sounds like `longevity' and in Cantonese 8 sounds like `prosper'. The last illustration, is interesting because, it can also be applied to a swimming pool. Besides an uneven flow of water, it is equally inauspicious to have a swimming pool in the shape as mentioned in the illustration.
