This was once a dying art in Singapore. But today, the belief of burning offerings of bamboo/paper: homes, cars, boats, handphones is striving! This is the belief that when one dies, such offerings would ensure that the dead lives a comfortable life with a home, car and many other material things that the person was used to prior to their death. Location: Joo Chiat Road.... Below: This most likely is exoskeleton for a paper mansion made by binding lots of bamboo strips:- Apologies for the blurred photo:

Dear All MAKING USE OF THE PRODUCTIVE CYCLE UNDER THE FIVE ELEMENTS CONCEPT Case Study ========== 1. This shop's owner / centre-point of shop display lacks water element. 2. This condominum in Singapore had `record' sales as it developed its flats / apartments designed around a Figure 8. The scanned article which you are about to load is 90K bytes. Note: The Figure 8 is based on people's perception that the number 8 is an auspicious number. Other considerations has to be taken account i.e. Feng Shui considerations in analysing specific units in the above housing development.

Jade Belts Jade belt is an important part of the ceremonial attire of the emperors and empresses of the Ming Dynasty. Common officials were not allowed to wear jade belts. These jade belts were unearthed in Ding Ling. Both belts were made of high quality jade: One belt is of green jade. While the other belt is of cream jade. Most likely the material holding all the jadge pieces on each of the belt has disintegrated after so many years.

Did you know, or for those who are remaining in the vicinity, that there exists a Muslim cemetery situated between Frankel Estate and Opera Estate? Let us take a journey back in time to the year 1954:- The cemetery was formerly referred to as the Mohammedan cemetery. In contemporary maps, it continues to be depicted merely as a Muslim cemetery. Since 1954, the cemetery has existed for at least 60 years or more. Currently, Siglap Road connects to Fidelio Street, providing additional access routes to and…

The Atria@ Meyer Nowadays, the guard house in a condo is often done as an after thought. I find the guard house of The Atria @ Meyer both stylish and of timeless beauty. Whenever I pass-by this structure (the guard house); I often, pause to look at it. And it truly looked beautiful which ever side, front, left or right one looks at it...

Dear Users, This is based on a request to find out more about " bungalow " houses. Basically a bungalow is actually a complete house. While a semi-detached house is one where there are two units but each house has a fencing at the middle and perhaps owned by two different owners. I will attach more pictures once I take more of these houses. Warmest Regards, Cecil
