1. How true is this statement? 2. Well, if you ask me in Singapore, this is very true! In the attached article, you can find out that Singapore families queue up 4 nights in a row just to book a government apartment. 3. In our culture, we hear this term in our daily life: The Kiasu Singaporean. 4. Meaning of Kiasu: Hokkien for "afraid to lose". eg Kiasu Singaporeans will camp overnight for free stuffs. Or in this case.. camp overnight to "book" or buy something... like property? 5. You can also take our `local test' to see whether you are equally considered as a "Kiasu". *JOKE* Can you fit the Singaporean image? Check out this url: http://www.med.nus.edu.sg/pcm/stress/Ki…

And many forgeries of this painting is floating around. 3. For many Chinese businessmen, they love to place a painting of galloping horses. It can be 6, 8 or 9 horses. 4. Dear All, In Hong Kong, Hong Kong & Shanghai Banking Corporation HQ building took a desperate attempt to place two cannons. Hong Kong Feng Shui practitioners spare no efforts to use `black' feng shui on others. Even in Singapore, some buildings were built on `black' Feng Shui e.g Suntec City. Warmest Regards, Cecil

For a house which has sloping back and in this example with a major road at it's back, such retaining brick walls are ideal. Notice that the retaining wall(s) are of sufficient height.

This house at the `T' junctions avoid having it's main entrance facing it. It makes sure that there are few openings if any (allowing the threat of sha qi).

1. The house is shown under the picture as `the house under threat'. 2. Characteristics of the problems associated with this house:- 3.1 If you follow the red arrows, you will find that the house sits on a slope. Here, if one is not careful, wealth can leak from this house both from the main entrance (which is on the side of the house to the neighbour's white (coloured) house. 3.2. In paranomic view picture, you can find three markings of addition all three neghbouring houses shown as marking `A', `B' and `C'. These three houses have multiple poison arrows attacking the house.

Dear All MAKING USE OF THE PRODUCTIVE CYCLE UNDER THE FIVE ELEMENTS CONCEPT Case Study ========== 1. This shop's owner / centre-point of shop display lacks water element. 2. In this example, this VCD/DVD shop placed a tall `S' shaped water feature. 3. This `S' shaped water feature has water bubbles rising to the top of this transparent `S' curve. 4. In Hong Kong, it is quite common to see such a monument in buildings to activate `water feature'. 4.1 This is where, a similar `S' curve as seen in this picture is made of metal e.g. Chrome/stainless steel or gold plating. This is placed on a stone pedestal. 4.2 This monument would thus represent:- Metal element: Since the `S…

In my opinion, I personally do not like the colour scheme for this new block of government public housing. Personally, I feel that it is a mismatch of colours especially white with apriot. Furthmore, the wall relief reminds me of the design found on water tanks above the roof tops.

This paranomic picture was taken on an aerial bridge showing part of the Parco Bugis Shopping complex. It has a unique blend of circular glass facade (see above) allowing light into rows of `old style' shopping units - which predates to the individual shop houses of the 1950s to 1960s era. Besides this, Bugis area was formerly famous for transvities that frequent this bugis area in the 1970's. Now due to redevelopment, gone forever. Although this location is not strategically located in the most recent hub of Marina shopping or the old Orchard road shopping area, because it is served by the Bugis MRT, this is indeed a popular hive of activity. It seems one can hardly get …

These are two views of a main door. Where half the common area wall `smashes' the main door. Plants in such a case can be used to neutralise this. Warmest Regards, Cecil

The Chinese especially, from the dialect group Cantonese dread the number 4. To them, in their dialect means : `say' or DIE. Worse if it is repeated e.g. Die, Die, Die... Especially numbers like 4, 44 or even 444....
