Dear Everyone, 1. Ba Gua mirrors should be checked every six months to a year for `fading' damage e.g. cracks, peeling. Normally, it should be replaced each year (if it is directly under the weather without protection). Sometimes, it would last up to two years or more. 2. When and How to replace the old Ba Gua mirror? 2.1 Usually, it can be replaced any day. But if one wants to select an auspicious date to remove/replace a Ba Gua mirror is usually on the 1st day or 15th day of any Lunar Month. (With the EXCEPTION of the 7th MONTH.) 2.2 To throw away, the old Ba Gua mirror, you can wrap it up in a used newspaper and carefully throw it away in an external dustbin. 2.3 Some…

This picture: Summerhill condominum - continuation of Part I, II and III Shows an overview of the frontage of the condo. Cars drive past the Guard house onto a wooden bridge. Below the wooden bridge is the water retention. In this concept, there is a two-element harmony where water -> wood (productive cycle). See attachment below.

Snap-shots of more pictures of the above temple. Lion statue: There are two Lion statues `guarding' the main entrance to the temple. Lion statues are very common found on traditional Chinese buildings to guard the front door. Lots of buildings in Singapore have the two Lion statues similar to the one shown in the picture. The Hong Kong Shanghai Bank or HSBC commonly has two bronze Lions outside the main entrance of their branches. The burning receptacles are used for burning of paper `money', paper offerings etc... `Hell' notes refers to paper money burned/offered to the dead in the hope that they can make use of the money in the after life.

1. Directly a distance behind this development is a Keramat Bukit Kasita. 2. Keramat is a Malay term for a Muslim graveyard. Bukit means hill. 3. This Keramat sits on a hill. And today consists around 200 tombs. The earliest tomb can be traced back to 1721. 4. The history was that a decendant of Sang Nila Utama around 1530's designated this piece of land as a Muslim graveyard as this hill was considered a sacred ground. 5. Many religions especially the Chinese often spare no efforts in finding good burial sites. In the hope that the decendants continue to prosper for many generations. 6. At the time of writing, the site plan is not available, ye…

Petit Jervois by SC Global About to demolish the current flats = Jervois Gardens. The main access is via Jervois Road. While these photos were taken on a new connection road for Princes Charles Crescent. Good for both The Crest and Principal Gardens condo as no need to depend only on the Alexandra View/Jervois Lane links. Have still kept in contact, a previous client at Jervois Gardens. Will be doing a Feng Shui audit with him.

Phoenix Residences at the junction of Phoenix Avenue with Phoenix Road. Leasehold 99 years. Site plan shows a U-shaped design. The only difference is that this inverted U takes advantage of the open space afforded by the border facing SAF Hillview Camp. Frankly, I am not sure what is the view like overlooking into the fringe of Hillview Camp. Hopefully not a covered high fence or the motor pool or barracks or storage grounds. Facing the Ammo Dump means clear space as often the Ammo Dump is underground with only one storey level poking out of the ground.

Dear Users, This is based on a request to find out more about " bungalow " houses. Basically a bungalow is actually a complete house. While a semi-detached house is one where there are two units but each house has a fencing at the middle and perhaps owned by two different owners. I will attach more pictures once I take more of these houses. Warmest Regards, Cecil

1. This is an old temple, in the heart of the central business district. 2. One unique feature is the burning of a `longevity' or spiral incense. There are lots of it strung across the court yard.
