A while back, I visited a client in Bukit Merah. As his HDB flat is more than 30 years old; he told me that nearly every day; someone in his "slab" block is always changing floor tiles. And the noise from such renovations is quite unbearable. Fast-forward... two years ago, I visited the Sky Habitat show-room. And was "surprised" that such a large designer condo "slab" made up of two huge towers only provide "ceramic" floor tiles... And often, there is a likelyhood that especially after the flat(s) changed hands, some owners may most likely change the floor tiles. And since there are so many units in each block in Sky Habitat... erh... good luck to the owners! Assuming if…

Dear Vince, 1. Attached, please find a graphic illustration of the " rectangular " court-yard + the Chinese (mandarin) character for tree. 2. The two combined is called " KUN " or trapped or imprisoned. 3. This is another aspect of Symbolism in Feng Shui. 4. However, so long as you do not place any tree especially a single tree / plant at the this centrepoint, it is still acceptable. Warmest Regards, Cecil Lee

Photos of Sky at Eleven. Photos taken from The Arte @ Thomson. Some ponder over buying a unit at Sky @ Eleven for the sole reason that the road leading to the condo is an old folks home. Literally, I know of an overseas businessman who bought a unit there and then decided to live in another luxury condo development. As his reason is because of the old folks home.

Sloane Residences is sandwiched between Belmond Green and Balmoral Grove. A single tower block with overall good Shapes and Forms Feng Shui. I always like homes where there is a good overhang TOP floor RC roof-line . This means that it helps to protect the lower floors from light rain.

Sloane streetmap of 2007 shows Sloan Court and at 2O’clock ACS Barker Road The 1966 streetmap also shows that the area around Balmoral has remained pretty much the same. I believe the most popular tree planted in landed properties all over the island is the mango tree. From my personal observations and walk around, nearly 2 out of 5 houses plant a mango tree. It is easy to grow this tree locally.

This is a very easy to grow especially just plant into the ground and "forget" about it!. It does not have flowers.. But, it's natural reddish colour is spectacular! Those that get the right sunlight will turned a beautiful maroon with chilli red tones or hews in it's leaves. Little sunlight and it turns light brown to even dull "blood clot" red that looks like rust coloured plants. Chinese love or consider red colour auspicious. This is why, this person, landscaped the public walkway outside his home with lots of "red variety" plants. This plant's scientific name is Cordyline fruitcosa and it belongs to the Agavaceae family.
