I tried typing in the url: http://www.risis.com.sg It brought me to the RISIS site which has figurines of:- Chinese zodiac animals, dragons etc... Which I believe will be interesting as they have some `unique' Chinese figurine designs. By the way, I am not associated with them at all. In the past, I do keep a collection of their gold plated Chinese animal signs e.g monkey, chicken, ox etc.. They are still around:) Warmest Regards, Cecil

This plant is quite common in Singapore, but always never placed directly at the frontage of the main entrance door. As each of the leave is pointed much like an Anglo Saxon knife blade. This plant comes from Zaire. It's family name is: Dracaenaceae. And it is commonly called: Variegated Snake Plant. This plant has a cousin, which is much harder to find in Singapore. The profile of it's leave are the same except that it's yellowish and greenish band of stripes is horizontal vs the vertical stripes found on the attached Snake plant. Worse still, this cousin is also called Snake plant but it has another tongue in cheek name: Mother-in-l…

1. The photo showsmy 3rd uncle who is actually taller than 6ft 6inches. 2. However, if we use a conservative estimate that he is 6 feet high; I measured this coconut tree and it is approximately 60 feet high!

This flowering plant since 1960's is one of the most popular decorative plants during Chinese New Year. It's plume of flowerscomes in two vibrant colours: Rich Chilli Red and Sweet (Sunflower) Yellow colour. It belongs to the Amaranthaceae family of plants and it is commonly called : Plume Celosia. Again; during Chinese New Year; the Chinese like auspicious red and yellow comes as bright as the season of spring. As Chinese New Year is also known as the Festival of Spring - celebration.

1. These are Chinese symbols of water patterns i.e. associated with the water element. 2. If you notice carefully, some patterns are like the scales of a fish. 3. All patterns are characteristic of wavy patterns.

Where possible, a triangle (fiber-glass base) of a water feature is also a No, No! Firstly, it is pointed at three sides and some of the points can be considered as a poison arrow. Secondly, triangle represents the fire element. For a water position; if we want to introduce "fire element" the next best thing is "a light".

1. Additional points:- 2. At this time, if one use a Feng Shui ruler to measure any of the HDB flats, one will notice that they are all Feng Shui friendly ie. width and height. 3. The 5 room `point' block flats shown earlier are usually 25 storeys high. 4. In addition, many of these 5 room flats and 1 / 3 room flats are typical of earth element. 5. They are typically mass produced and the entire block consisting of 100 units x 25 floors are squarish = earth shape. Perhaps, signalling stability for both the people staying in them and for the country. 6. Under this attachment, you can generally view flats usually 14 storey high. The dragon symbolises Male while the Phoenix represents the Female. Many traditional Chinese wedding cards have a dragon and phoenix symbol in embrace....
