  1. Both the Eight House (Eight Mansions) and Flying Star Feng Shui fall under the Compass School of Feng Shui. They are considered complementary.

  2. In my opinion, it is good to spend time in a favourable sector, especially if that sector is supported by good Flying Star Feng Shui numbers. Then comes Eight Mansions considerations are a nice-to-have, not a must-do.

  3. #4 = Conflicts and Scandals In general, #4 is associated with conflicts & scandals and #5 with misfortune or sickness in Flying Star Feng Shui. Therefore, designating the southeast sector as a laundry area is logical. While it may not be ideal to have a door in this southeast sector, it is still considered acceptable.

  4. EAST GROUP PERSONS Master Lee, I've a question. Isn't a NW facing house meant for East group people? No. NW is West Group. East Group = N, S, SE and East Furthermore NW = North WEST. And there is also a WEST in it. How to suit an EAST group person? Oh, I've gotten conflicting information! You're right. There's some errors on some of the sites regarding this. Thanks for pointing it out. No wonder everything doesn't fit. +++ Never confuse education with intelligence. You can have a Bachelor's Degree and still be an idiot.

  5. 1. You can always obtain a Feng Shui ruler and use the good ruler measurements. Please note that most Feng Shui ruler has two columns. You should be using the top column (measurement) as this is meant for Yang Feng Shui or for the living. 2. Except for an altar, an altar needs to be most optimum by using the auspicious measurements that coincide with both the top and bottom measurements. Reference: http://www.geomancy.net/resources/theories/fs-ruler.htm 3. Alternatively, you can the mulitple of 17 inches for the door. Thus, the width could be 17 inches x 2 =34 inches. And the height of the door in multiples of 17 inches x ( ) = . 4. 6. Is my Period 8 house still lucky from 2024 till 2043? Many have collected their keys on or between 2004 till 2023. And due to the change of qi, luck can change as we move into year 2024 onwards. Some have by now felt things may not be smooth or have health issues. The reality is the Feng Shui Qi or lucky sectors will change for either for the better or for the worse. 1. N1 = Less lucky under Period 9. As formerly double #8's at it's frontage. Thus not so smooth under Period 9. https://www.geomancy.net/forums/topic/20083-flying-star-period-8-n1/ 2. N2 & N3 = Better luck under Period 9. From 2024 till 2043. https://www.geomancy.net/forums/topic/20084-flying-star-period-8-n2-n3/ 3. NE1 = Less lucky under Period 9. It also depends on the layout plan. https://www.geomancy.net/forums/topic/20085-flying-star-period-8-ne1/ 4. NE2 & NE3 = Take extra care of health issues from 2024 onwards. https://www.geomancy.net/forums/topic/20086-flying-star-period-8-ne2-ne3/ 5. E1 = Less lucky under Period 9. As Current Prosperity #9 Career & Overall Luck is often wasted at the "rear" or SW of the unit. Check the layout to confirm. https://www.geomancy.net/forums/topic/20087-flying-star-period-8-e1/ 6. E2 & E3 = Luck should be better under Period 9. Again depends on the layout plan - Check what sectors are found at NE = Current Prosperity Career - Good especially if this is the living room or master bedroom & Overall Luck & NW = Current Prosperity Networking & Relationship Luck - front door?. https://www.geomancy.net/forums/topic/20088-flying-star-period-8-e2-e3/ 7. SE1 = Depends on layout plan for both Period 8 and 9. https://www.geomancy.net/forums/topic/20089-flying-star-period-8-se1/ 8. SE2 & SE3 = Lucky during Period 8. For Period 9 generally less lucky. But depends on layout. As Current Prosperity Career and Overall Luck is trapped or wasted at the centrepoint of the unit. https://www.geomancy.net/forums/topic/20091-flying-star-period-8-se2-se3/ 9. S1 = Unlucky under Period 8. In general more lucky in Period 9. However this depends on where is the living room & external features of the unit. Extra care if e.g. a bedroom e.g. Master Bedroom is located at SE with Misfortune/sickness. https://www.geomancy.net/forums/topic/20092-flying-star-period-8-s1/ 10. S2 & S3 = Less lucky under Period 9. As formerly double #8's at it's frontage had now become Past or Gone Luck! https://www.geomancy.net/forums/topic/20093-flying-star-period-8-s2-s3-less-lucky-under-period-9-as-formerly-double-8s-at-its-frontage/ 11. SW1 = Take extra care of health issues from 2024 onwards. https://www.geomancy.net/forums/topic/20094-flying-star-period-8-sw1/ 12. SW2 & SW3 = Depends on external features. Can be luckier under Period 9 especially depending on where is the living room. https://www.geomancy.net/forums/topic/20095-flying-star-period-8-sw2-sw3/ 13. W1 = Better luck under Period 9 but this depends totally on layout plan. https://www.geomancy.net/forums/topic/20096-flying-star-period-8-w1/ 14. W2 & W3 = Less lucky under Period 9 but depends on where is the living room. https://www.geomancy.net/forums/topic/20097-flying-star-period-8-w2-w3/ 15. NW1 = Less lucky under Period 9. But also depends on layout. As Current Prosperity Career and Overall Luck is trapped or wasted at the centrepoint of the unit. https://www.geomancy.net/forums/topic/20098-flying-star-period-8-nw1/ 16. NW2 & NW3 = Less lucky under Period 9. https://www.geomancy.net/forums/topic/20099-flying-star-period-8-nw2-nw3/

  7. Some units at a quite recent TOP condo Queens Peak at Queenstown, is similar. Can certainly have light in. If the windows “flip” from the bottom up, best still to close the windows. Don’t have to make this area dark especially with night curtains. Bright or a blind is acceptable.

  8. 1. Appreciate, if you were to post, please don't post so many duplicates. I have to clean up all the duplicates for you. 2. These are some of the considerations:- 2.1 No one will ever complaint about a pure wooden dining table. 2.2 For a wooden cum glass piece; few would also complain as the structure often holding the furniture is wood, with glass inserts. 2.3 Commonsense approach:- 2.3.1 Why does some say glass NO GOOD? Have you seen a young child holding a cup or plate and start banging on the dining table? They might not crack it, but it does make an irritating sound if he/she is holding plastic ware. If it is china, then it may scratch or even shatter the glass. 2.3.2 Children do run around the home. Hitting their head against a wooden table is not as bad as the thin side of a glass table. 2.4 Make sure that the dining table glass is made of tempered glass that will shatter into smaller pieces. Unfortunately, in some countries even those side coffee table may not be made from tempered glass. All tempered glass will have a marking on the glass to show the brand and words "tempered" on it. 3. Symbolism in Feng Shui:- 3.1. For a pure wooden table, it would not shatter. For a part wood part glass unless we throw someone to the middle of the table, it may shatter. But a pure glass table is exposed on all sides... 3.2 It is like the example of the Chinese altar. It is considered bad to use a pure glass top to place Chinese gods or figurines or ancestor tablet. If it does shatter e.g. violet earth movement or vibration or accidentally dropping something on it; it will shatter and bring down the entire altar! This signify bad luck.

  9. 1. Please note the the Eight House concept is more useful when we are trying to select which home to purchase. 2. Once, we are "stuck" with a specific home and trying to apply the Eight House concept; then; all these become "NICE-to-have" and not a "MUST-have". 3. For example, once we have either stayed in a specific home or are going to occupy the home; one cannot change where the bedrooms are. If the bedrooms are all in the North, South, SE or East sectors; then in the first instance; how to "MUST-have"sleep in a good sector. 4. If it is nearly impossible to do so; then again it would be "NICE-to-have" sleep with the head facing a good direction. 5. Thus; overall, in an existing home; all these concepts are "NICE-to-have" and sometimes even if we want to have;but it is not possible in such instances.

  10. Hello again Master Lee, We plan to build a new house facing W3 and sitting E3. According to my eight mansions chart, SE is supposed to be my best location for prosperity HOWEVER, the natal house chart for period 8 says that this sector has #5 mountain star, #2 water star and #7 base star. All the stars are bad stars. So is it safe to assume that I should prioritize the flying star chart over the eight mansions chart? In that case, I will just have to put my toilet area/walk-in closet in this SE area? And my bedroom in my East area? (I'm kua #1). Thanks for all the help you've been giving so far!

  11. 1. In general, yes priority should go to the Flying Star Feng Shui. As it is "real time" or dynamic! 2. For example, if one asks any army (or navy), "real time" intelligence "beats" static non dynamic info all the time. 3. Thus drawing a parallel to Para 2, above, and the above reasoning, priority should always go for "analysis" or "approach to an action" based on something that is or close to real time. 4. While, the Eight House/Mansions should be considered as NICE to have and not a MUST have! Quote: Katrina L. wrote: Hello again Master Lee, We plan to build a new house facing W3 and sitting E3. 12. Hello Cecil, I was informed that if you tear off the original roof (completely - so that the stars are able to shine into the house) and replace it with a new roof that the birth year of your home changes. Is this true? I have a 5 mountain and a 9 water in my kitchen. The base star is a 5 and the visiting star for 2002 is also a 5. How can I prepare for this situation?
    1 point
  13. 1. Yes, if one replace a new roof, it is said that the house changes to a new birth date. 2. However, please take note of the following:- 2.1 The main Flying Star Theory uses 20 year period for analysing the birth chart of a house. Thus any house build between 1984 to 2003 is considered a Period 7 house. 2.2 Therefore, since we are now within 1984 to 2003; changing the roof makes no difference to a house will still be considered born under Period 7. The difference is only when a house birth chart is other than Period 7. Therefore, a house born under Period 4, 5 or 6 will have it's birth chart changed e.g. in 2002 when the roof has been changed. And will take on the Period 7 `birth chart'. You need a metal cure here. Please note that the yearly star #5 begining from 12 February 2002 is at EAST. Therefore, I assume you that you must have this correct i.e. your kitchen falls in the EAST. If so, since there are 3 x #Five's the best cure is to use a 6 rod metal wind chime or a `real' grandfather clock ... so that the constant `cling' of metal can help to destroy the 3 x #Five's. Caution when using a grandfather clock - it must be those that have real brass or metal pendulums. Not those cheap imitations where it uses a spray painted on plastic pendulum. If you do the above, then you do not need to hang a 6 i-ching coins at that sector. (The 6 i-ching coins is a secondary subsitute but is not as good as the above remedy(s). Warmest Regards, Cecil
