  1. Dear Cecil/Robert, I would very much appreciate your advices on the following: 1. According to the Flying Star chart of my house, I have 7,7,1 numbers in the sector housing my main door. My main door faces the NE direction. Do I need to do anything to activate the stars 7 and 1 to tap better luck? and what should I do to activate them? (I was born in May 6, 1958 - Kua #6, Weak water, I guess!) 2. I understand that one needs to keep a balance for his house, then by activating these good stars or suppressing the bad stars, would I "upset" other good and bad stars in other sectors of my House, or throw of the balance of my house? Many thanks in advance Your sincerely, Tam
  2. Dear Cecil and Robert, I'm still very new to this Forum. I can imagine that over the years you must have answers for many similar questions on the same topic (for: example: directions, kitchen, toilet, bedroom, etc...). Do you have any search engine that would take me right to the questions and answers for the same topic? For example: if I type "kitchen" in this search engine, any questions and answers related to kitchem would pop up for review. I thought this might be a good option for a new comer like myself, and it might save your precious time and space in the Forum for new questions or topic to be posted. Although I have jsut subscribed the 101 Feng Shui tips and fixes, but until Volume II comes out, I'd like to keep myself updated. Best regards, Tam
  3. Dear Cecil/Robert I would very much grateful if you could kindly advise me on the following: (1) which sector of the house is appropriate for the Kitchen and the Stove (in the Bad or Good sector of the Eight Houses). When we say "kitchen", do we really mean we refer to the "Stove"? or they are two different things? (2) Say if I have a kitchen, which is a sperate "room" in my house (e.g.: with its own walls and entrance doors), should this Kitchen Room be placed in the Good or Bad sector of the house?. And when I place a Stove in this Kitchen Room, should I put the Stove in the Good (or Bad) sector of the house? or put the Stove in the Good (or Bad) sector of the Kitchen Room? Your advise is appreciated. Best personal regards, Tam
  4. Dear Cecil/Robert: I?m pretty confused as to how many Flying Star Schools that we may have. Recently, I came a cross a Chinese book called ?Case Studies of House Destiny? published in China in 1994. According to this book, flying stars are plotted based on, among other factors, the direction of the FRONT of the house. For ex: If the house faces West and its main door is located in another compass direction, say, North; the Water star of the West , direction will be used for the house?s natal chart, rather than the star number of the North. Whereas, according to the Flying Star School currently practised by Feng Shui masters, flying stars are plotted based on the direction of the MAIN DOOR. This is the critical difference since it will give a very different natal chart between the above two methods. Could you kindly advise me on the above. Many thanks. Best regards, Tam
  5. Dear Cecil and Glyn, Thank you so much for your prompt response. But still I don't seem to get the full picture yet - sorry for being slow in apprehending it! To ensure that I understand your explanations fully, could you kindly clarify for me the following: (1) A house?s plan gets divided into eight triangular sectors by super-imposing the Loupan template on it, right? (After the exact measurement of the house and its centre have been ascertained) (Please see sketch 1). Meaning that, the centre sector is an imaginary one? Say, if I have a room right in the centre of my house, this room would obviously sit on all eight sectors of the house. So the flying stars of the centre would be applicable for this room, right? (2) What about if my bedroom sits on two triangular sectors of the Luopan template (for ex: sitting on both NW and W sectors), then for the flying star calculation purposes, which sector my bedroom is really belonged to (the West or NW sector)? I have attempted to come up with a Lo Shu square for my house after super-imposing a Luopan template on my house?s plan as attached. Could you please review sketches to see whether I have done it correctly? For the attached sketches, I must apologize for sending them to your private e-mail since I could hardly figure out how to post an attachment to my mail using the Post function of the Forum site and still struggling with it (and believe it not, I'm really new to Internet). Please open them on Word 7 for Windows 95/98. I hope you do not mind so much and really appreciate your help. Very best regards, Tam
  6. Dear Cecil, Robert and fellow Forum members, Hello every body! My name is Tam and this is my very first time to this Forum. I sincerely hope that I would be welcomed. I have just started to learn about the Flying Star theory but have already encountered the first big obstacle. That is: ?how to draw properly a nine-sector template" in order to super-impose it onto a house's layout plan for Flying Star calculation and interpretation purposes. Especially in circumstances where the house is of rectangular shape and it is very long in length, but is relatively short in its width dimension (e.g. 4x20 or 4x30 meteres), and worst yet where this house also bears some degrees to another direction (eg: N.NE, E.NE, E.SE....). My house (4x16 meters in dimension) faces the first sub-sector of the NE sector and its main entrance faces the second sector of the NE sector when reading from the western compass at the center of the house. When reading from a Chinese Lo Pan, the front side of my house faces the "Choh" subsector and its main door faces the "Gen" subsector, both of these sub-sectors are actually located within the NE section of the western compass. I feel that drawing a proper nine-sector template is the first and basic step one needs to master in order to achieve an accurate interpretation of the Flying Stars. I would very much appreciate if you could kindly pass down to me your experience in drawing the nine-sector Flying Star template for the type of long rectangular houses indicated above. Million thanks in advance. Sincerely Yours, Tam
