  1. Dear Robert, Thank you for giving this information. This is very clear. Do you feel that such a transformation of the energy of the daystem can only happen as a result of a transformation with another stemthat is found withinthe chart or can it also happen as a result of a transformation with the stem ofa 10 yearsluck pillar or even a yearly pillar? Thank you, Roeland
  2. Dear Robert, You say in the below answer: However, say if the day is originally wood, and the combination convert it to fire. The birth element will not change from wood to fire. It will remain as Wood, but he will have lost the Wood element property. Could you clarify what it means that the day will remain as Wood, but has lost the Wood element property. This concept is a bit hard to understand. How can Wood loose the Wood element property? Thank you Roeland
  3. Dear Kam, Thank you for your insightful responses. Here is another example. Suppose the Day Stem is Yang Fire and the stem of the Luck Pillar is Yin Metal. Will in that case both the Day Stem and the Luck Pillar Stem be transformered into Water if the branch of the Month Pillar allows this?. The reason why I give this example is to find out whether the DayStem can transform as a result of a certain Luck Pillar. All the best, Roeland
  4. By the way with transformation to water I mean transformation to water as a result of a combination in the branches. According to some masters it is not enough if there is water in the stems, but the main element of the branch of the month should be water or the mother of water (metal). All the best, Roeland
  5. Dear Kam, According to some masters for a transformation to water happen it is not enough that there is water in the stems. According to these masters the main element of the branch should also be water or the mother of water (in this case metal). Have you heard of this additional requirement? Maybe others have some thoughts on this? There seems to be different opinions among Masters about the requirements of transformations which makes things confusing. All the best, Roeland
  6. Edited by Robert: Since this is more towards the technical aspects, I will try to answer it later on when I have more free time. Our ba zi analysis would already have analysed all these aspect and considered the various relationship. So if unsure, just generate our report and any combinations etc will be shown in the report where it is available. Dear Robert and Cecil, In different books I see conflicting information about transformations. I would be very grateful if you could put some light on a few matters. 1.Is it possible for the Daystem to transform? 2. Suppose we have a daystem of Yang Water and an hour stem of Yin Fire. Will both be transformered to Wood? Or just the hour stem? Or maybe none of the them? 3. It seems transformations of the stems are only possible if the new transformered element is found in thebranch of the Month. Therefore I suppose the above transformation can only happen when Wood is found in the Month branch. 4. Suppose we find Rat, Dragon and Monkey in the branches. They produce a forceof Water. Does this means that the Dragon and Monkey will loose their character and will be transformered in simply Water? Therefore there will be less Earth (Dragon)and Metal (Monkey)in the chart and more Water? 5. For the above branch transformation to happen is it necessary that there is Watersomewhere in the stems? Some sources say that is necessary other books do not mentionconditions and say that the three branches will transform whatever the contents of the stems. I would be very grateful if you could put your light on this since there is very little material available that explains what exactly happens when transformations occur and the material that is available contains contradictionary information. All the best and thank you, Roeland .
  7. Dear Robert, Thank you, you were correct about the two doors. Glad it is not a big problem. All the best, Roeland
  8. Dear Robert, Thank you for your answer. When I open my frontdoor I see a very small corridor and stairs leading to my appartement. The stairs are private, so no other people are involved. On top of the stairs there is another door that leads to a larger corridor on the first floor where I live. I must say that I open the door to my balcony more often than the frontdoor. Maybe thishelps to purify the Qi (that is spoiled by the toilet above the frontdoor). The door to the balcony cannot be used for another entrance because it leads to the balcony only. All the best, Roeland
  9. Hello, I live in an apartment on thefirst floor. There are private stairs running to the front door at the ground. This front door is immediately opposite the stairs. There is no room to place a screen or a plant. However, on top of the stairs there is a door. Is this enough to fix the leak? In addition there is a toilet placed right above the front door, butapart from replacing it, which is not possible, there does not seem to be any remedial measures for that. If something can be done any suggestion would be more than welcome. All the best, Roeland

    Coins

Dear Robert, Thank you for your answer. Unfortunately it is quite difficult to get a hold on the Singapore Dollar coin in Europe since all we can get is foreign paper money. On different Feng Shui sites I seesets of 6 I Ching coins advertised. An example is the below: http://www.fengshui-emporium.com/C04.htm Would this be an example of a working remedial measure for the 5? Thank you and all the best, Roeland
  11. Dear Cecil and Robert, First of all thank you for this great site and for your answers on my other questions. I have a question about the influence of stars on a person. Suppose someone is weak wood and sitting ina sector in which the woodstars 3 or 4 are prominent. Although these stars are no good in a general sense will these stars benefit the weak wood person? Also can a weak Fire person benefit from this since Fire needs wood to grow? All the best, Roeland .

    Coins

Hello, In different posts you mention the use of 6 antique Chinese qoins or the Singapore Dollar as a remedial measure for countering star 5. However, is there any reason why we could not use any metal coincoming from any country? Is it possible to mention the requirements for a particular coin to be acceptable as a remedial measurefor countering the 5? Thank you, Roeland
  13. Dear Robert and Cecil, This site is great. I am going through all the messages and I am learning a lot. In different posts you say that you do not like all the fuzz that is made about the yearly stars since this isbased on the base star only. For example if the yearly 5goes to a sector, that does notgive a lot of information becausewho knows there may be auspiciousyearly water or yearly mountain stars in that sector for a particular house also. Does that main that you propose to add the yearly water and mountain stars (which of course are dependent upon the facing direction of a certain building). Does this give a more complete picture thanthe yearly base stars only? Of course the analysis will become a bit complicated since in that case we will have to deal with 6 stars (yearly base star, yearly mountain star, yearly water star and the permanent base star, mountain star and water star) instead of 4. Suppose one adds the monthly base star, water star and mountain star to that and the picture becomes complicated indeed. However, this only means that we should improve our skills for analysing the stars and your site is a great help for doing that. All the best, Roeland
  14. You determine the kind of house on the basis of the facing direction. However, many otherauthors determine the house trigram on the basis of where the house sits. For example my house facesthe North (0 degrees), but because it sits South (180 degrees) according to those authors it would be a Li (fire) house and not a water house. I would be grateful if you could clear up this confusion. Thank you Roeland
