Dear cecil, The wooden floors are considered best in fengshui. But in some wet and cold countries wooden floor are not a good option due to the mold and termite problem. So wanted to know what is the second best option for floors besides the wooden floors in a house. Thanks.

Dear cecil, Can fengshui bring peace in middle east region? I read some where that if fengshui is applied correctly at the time of negotiations ( like picking a good day and time and a place with a good fengshui features where the negotiating parties are more relaxed and with good food so that the tempers wont flare and many more points)so that the peace agreement signed would stick instead of collapsing so easily. Dear cecil, In the picture's of the Ngee Ann city in the photo gallery. Are the huge pillars near the main gate consider good or bad according to feng shui. Secondly, usually its said that the fountain should be at the left hand side of main gate but in the picture it shows that fountain is exactly in the middle of the main gate though quite a distance away. Dear cecil, Recently I saw on TV how a doctor in North America did a scientific study on Tibetan herbs on stage IV breast cancer patient. Although the tibetan doctor was allowed to use only 9 herbs instead of 49 herbs. But by the end of study it showed positive results. And it proved to world that the herbs do work and without any negative side effects. I wanted to know if any scientific studies are being done by the overseas chinese doctors on chinese herbs so that people all around the world can be benefited by them since people know the herbs work since they are taken by millions of people in China for thousands of years. All they are waiting for are the scientific studies. So that they combine the best of both worlds. Western medicine wonderful technology to detect the diseases at early stage and the chinese herbs for results without the side affects and improved quality of life? Thanks.

Dear cecil, Why the Chinese scholars who fled the country do what the British Library has done. British Library has made available the 1000 years old books and testaments available on internet by using the digital technology so millions of people are able to use it which was only available to researcher and scholars since they were trying to preserve the papers from disintegrating. Unlike the Chinese scholars who pass the books and knowledge to a single disciple as done 4000 years ago. What good is the knowledge if it cant be used for the benefit of mankind. And I think they need to update their views with changing world. Since we don't see people walking from one city or country to another instead of taking a plane as done thousands of years by our ancestors. Thanks.

Dear cecil, Would like to see input from a chinese female/women on the culture section or category since there are so many questions we would like to know eg. childcare, birth control, treatment of women, abortion, religion, treatment of battered women, impact of internet on women, role of women in politics etc. Since it is difficult to ask these question. And it does not give the true picture and a country is judged by how the minority (women and children) are thriving and not how well the business man and politician are doing. Thanks.

Dear cecil, When ever there is mention of yin fengshui/fengshui for graves, reference is always given of how the graves of father or grandfather brought good luck to the future generations of the family. There is no mention of how the graves of mother's/grandmother's impact the future generation. What is the reason for that? Does that mean fengshui is not applied to women's graves or women are not buried in China? Thanks.

Hi everyone, Any body interested in chinese symbolism should try the book called "Feng Shui Dos & Taboos by author Angi Ma Wong. The best thing I liked about this book was that author has published a disclaimer on the first page of the book saying that all recommendations are made without guarantee on the part of the author. Basically author is merely presenting the information without any claims like other BTB authors who guarantee solution for every problem and pray on emotions of innocent public.

Hi Daniel, If you decide to attend the lillian too's conference. Can you ask her why there are so many contradiction about windchimes in her book. In one book she mentions to hang 5 rod wind chime with pagoda to press the 5 yellow and in another she mentions to use 6 rod wind chime and there are many more contradiction regarding it. Secondly ask her that she mentions in all are books not to put flowers and plants in the bedroom but all the pictures of bedroom show plants and fresh flowers in the bedroom. She mentioned that one should not put pictures of women in bedroom because it will make husbands to have roving eyes. Can you ask her it one can hang pictures of couples. Lastly she mentions in her books that water should never be placed on right hand side of the main door. But in her water dragon formula she mentions that in four directions water drains should flow from right to left. Ask her why the contradiction. Dear cecil, Divorce is the root cause of dsyfunctional generation all around the world. As a result of divorce so many single mothers are forced to live below the poverty line since most of the time they spend in fighting custody battles or child support battles. Parents use their young children as pawn to get back at each other or are constantly fighting about how to raise them. Some parents just abandon their children since they are not able to deal with the pressure or to get out of paying child support. Some children become the punching bags of the step parents. Result of divorce is insecure, lonely children with low self esteem with poor role models as fighting or abusive parents. And these same children grow up to do the same things which they learned from their parents. So this vicious cycle continues. Its the joke of century since parents divorce saying that the constant fighting will damage the physical and mental well being of their children. They don't realize that if they don't get along now then they cant become saints after divorce and start seeing eye to eye. Anyway, to make the story short. I wanted to know how divorce is impacting family unit in China? Do men pay child support? Is divorce peace ful process? Do divorced parents civil to each other and put the welfare of child first?
