Master Cecil,
I read that altar should not share the same wall as the toilet.
Does this include all the 4 walls of the bathroom or just the walls where the watercloset and lavatory are attached?
I attached a sketch of the chinese deity and ancestor altar. The wall at the back of the altar is the bathroom wall but the shower head and the lavatory are attached to another wall.
Should I transfer my altar?
Thank you.

Master Cecil,
If the altar is placed against a wall and the height of the altar is 1.25 meters from the ground, can I have an overhead window on the same wall at 1.8 meter from the ground(not necessary to open the window butjust to providesource of light) ?
I read it is inauspicious to have the main door face a mirror. What if the main door faces a cabinet with glass doors (cabinet is 3 meters away from the door) , is this also to be avoided?
Many thanksQuoteOn 2/16/2011 5:46:17 PM, Anonymous wrote:
1. More importantly, the altar should
not be located at NE or SW should be
correct. While the altar may be located
in another sector e.g. South; and
because of say the unusual layout plan;
the altar may face SW. If can avoid the
later, the better. But, it is not as
crucial as having the altar located at
NE or SW.2. This is where, if I am not
mistaken; many (Indian) Vastu
practitioners share the same common
agreement with it's (Chinese)
counter-parts.3. For us Chinese; the
concern is the NE (Devil's gate) and SW
(Devil's backdoor). 4. Thru the many
years of my practise and understanding;
even Chinese god figurines could even be
"possessed" or there were cases
where some evil spirits wentinto
the figurines.5. A case study would be
the one I had mentioned about the "Haig
Road" incident. Where the old owner left
two Qi Lins and aDeity figurine.
And when the home(apartment) was
left vacant for more than 1 year;
someone who had died at a near-by
wake... went to possess the figurine.6.
Thus if say one has a Guan Yin figurine
at SW; it may be a convenient place
forthese spirits; at the right
spot that sort of thing. Just imagine of
the "I dream of Genie" show where the
Genie lives inside ahollow
bottle... On 2/16/2011 4:35:18 PM,

Master Cecil
Unfortunately the kitchen does not open to a yard. The kitchen is on the second floor and has a window that opens to a wall 1 meter away.
Would repainting the cabinets to white (metal element) help control the 5 and 2 stars?
ThanksQuoteOn 9/18/2010 8:03:35 AM, Anonymous wrote:
1. If your kitchen is open
towards the yard; and the yard
area is close by, may consider
hanging a six hollow rod
windchime at a open yard area
to help disarm these stars.
2. Yes, star 7 is bad under
this current period. But what
is of greater concern is star
9 fueling sickness star 2.
Star 9 on its own is suppose
to be good. But being a fire
element, it may further
inflame star 2, at that
sector.
3. Given, that it is only star
2, and not star 5, one simple
thing is to avoid bright
yellow nor use warm white
lights in that bedroom. Try to
use cool day lights and avoid
red colour also.

Master Cecil,
My mother's bedroom in the south sector has MS 1, WS 6 and base star 3.
The house and main door face west and south would be the spook sector.
However, her kua is 9 and south is her excellent sector. Is the room asupicious for her?
Thank you.

Hi Master Cecil,
From our main door, once I turn left is the stairs going to the upper floor. Below the staircase is the toilet. How bad is having a toilet under the staircase? What cure is available for this?Facing star is 9, sitting star is 7 and base star is 9. House is facing West and my Kua number is 8.
If my dining area which is on the second floor face the stairs, is this also inauspicious? Should I put a plant box between the stairs and the dining table? I wanted the dining table here because of the good flying stars. FS 6, MS1 and Base Star 3.
Thank you.

move-in date

Master Cecil,
I tried using the Free 30 Day Auspicious Date to check which day is a good day to move-in to new house.
My dad was born on October 19, 1930 at 12:00 am.
In the Free 30 Day Auspicious Date, the choices for hour born start at 1 am. In this case, do I put October 18 or October 19 on the space provided for birthdate?
Thank you.
