  1. Would like to inform you that your "Free Advice" has been stuck at Install A Partition dated 13 Dec for those who are not members and who are unable to log in. This will give the impression that no one has asked any question of you since that date . You probably didnt know since you are probably on auto log-inMr. Greenso kindly be informed.

  2. Sir
Does feng shui identify noise as a form of sha qi, especially those that come to you every day like fighter jets flying doing their exerciseor practice runs over your house day in and day out? In my previous house, I also heard a constant dull, grinding noise from somewhere afar or in the next block like someone is machining some metal on a daily basis. Confused If so, what is the cure?

  3. Can we thentake itthat in the postion he is sitting facing East, he is confronting the Grand Duke and irritating him and that he needs to move his deskto faceanother direction?

  4. Have you been moving your furniture around for the year ahead and what cures have you instituted? Have you also put up some mountain pictures and bought any fish tank or fountain to take advantage of your good sectors? In your opinion is a fish tank better or a fountain? Do we need to buy new coin-tassel each year or can we follow the Recycle Maxim of: reduce, reuse, recycle?

  5. Thanks to having learnedfeng shui and thanks to your site, I have begun to avoid sitting or occupying some of the bad sectors in my house. However I am still not sure about whether I am facing the Grand Duke or some of the bad stars. Does the man sitting at his desk in the picture face Tai Sui even though he is not in the #5 sector and is far removed from the East of his house? What direction is this man facing?

  6. Thanks for your help. I will go to get some flowers from the temple to do a flower bath soon.
I forgot to mention more details of what transpired and how I came to be in possession of a pakua mirror. It happened like this: One dayI was walking on the road and this foreign guy who was also walking on the road stopped me and offered to look at my fortune for $10. Thinking that I coud fork out the small amount of money, I let him do what he wanted so we had an impromptu fortune-telling kneeling on the roadside there and then. Later, not contented to earn that $10, he probably decided to foist a pakua mirror on me so as to earn another $8. At that time I didnt know anything about pakua mirrors, having only started learning feng shui this year, I didnt think much of it and just kept it for about four years in my wardrobe. Thinking back also, at that time he didnt even instructed me what to do with it and simply put it in a red packet and handed it to me. However I must say the pakua looked new.
Anyway the other day I had wrapped it up in newspaper and thrown it away ever since I read about the pakua. In my haste I had discarded it down fourteen floors in the rubbish chute and it wasafter it hadbeen thrown down that I thought I could have brought it downstairs instead.

  7. Is it better we buy our own pakua mirror should we need one and is there any reservation or is it a no-no to be given one especially by a stranger we just met. I ask cos in the past I met a fortune-teller for the first time and was given a pakua mirror. My luck went downhill subsequently and so I am now wondering whether there is some connection and linkage here.

  8. (Actually I did write a longer article but it was lost when I tried to post pictures with it. So on the second attempt, I didnt write ingreater details cos I was worried that all the writing will be lost again)
    Sir,
9ms 7ws was described as "fortunately there is weak fire to control the bad star #7's weak metal, but it is insufficient so make use of red to control metal".
I have beenkeeping theMaitreya Buddha's statuein my wardrobe for three years but I decided to put it there now with the dual purpose of hopefully activating my mt star as well as to make offerings of coins. You'll notice that there are already some $1 coins there already. In the past in another house, I did offer Maitreya coins too in a closed wardrobe and it accumulated to more than a thousand. I only used those brighter and shinier coins that came my way and this time it'll be no exception so I will accumulate slowly and selectively. I wonder whether I can activate this way. I may put up a picture of a mountain tooif I can find one. I am weak wood and this sector is in the north of my house and falls between my front door and my second bedroom cum study and has
    9 7
    3
I have already put up 6-coin cure on top of my main door to quell #3.

  9. My bedroom wardrobe, which is three years old,has eight of such right-angled 'C'-handles and I am supposed to sleep pointing my head towards them. Will this create too much sha qi and is it better I get my contractor to change them to rounded ones?
(Sorry, I am actually learning how to post image here and this is the first time I learn how to connect my handphone to the computer)

  10. Generally all houses, flats or apartments have a central wall that divides the living room, kitchen, from the bedrooms, study, etc. Can we say that since such wallsare not the perimeter walls of a house or apartment, they are not facing any of the important directions of NESW, or NE, SE, SW or NW etc and hence they are not the facing walls where the Grand Duke, Five Yellow, Three Killings are, so wecan afford to be less wary of and can do renovations, hang things or drive nails into such walls?

  11. Sir,
How effective is a windchime as a cure for a sector if it is silent and unmoving all the time? Does a windchime still perform its role and function and live up to its usefulness in this particular listless state?
Or can we say the more sounds it makes and the more it moves, the better it is forone's home? I have the intentionof buying a six-rod aluminium windchime soon for the new year to cure my East sector which is ravaged by both the Yellow Five and Grand Duke. I read in this site that windchime is a cureto subdueYellow #5. However I was thinking that since Grand Duke is also occuping my East wall, wouldnt the constant cling-clanging of a windchime irritate him? If this is alright, Iwas thinking of hanging mywindchime on my rotating wall fan after I purchased it. Is this the correct and "done thing" to do? Btw, my wall fan is also on my East wall. Is it advisable to use less of it if possible?

  12. On the second day of CNY on 4th Feb 2011, I went to a temple to pray to Grand Duke in the afternoon. Later as I was outside the temple, a woman selling tassels and other curios was telling me and other people that those who offended Grand Duke of Jupiter should only start praying on the 4th day of the lunar calendar of thenew year and that if we pray early it is not correct and we need to pray to him again.
Secondly, if in the previous year we succumbed to Grand Duke or Tai Sui in a particular temple, we'll need to return to the same temple to pray and not change another temple or else we will be forever owing to Grand Duke. Is this true?

  13. May I ask the Master that instead of putting up the six-coin cure on thewall, is it alright if we hang it close to the wallon someelectrical fitting like lamps or switch boxes oron trunking, or even on some cupboards in the sector? This is because there might be some markings or paint-peelingshould we use blue-tack or tapes and when we have to remove the cures in future or next year.
Secondly, to activate a mountain star one is told to hang up or put upan object of mass. Locally, it is quite difficult to pick up or find a boulder to hang up. What are the common objects thatare generallysuitable to use and that have been hung up before? It may sound flippant here but I ask with the intention of activating my mountain star in my kitchen and I was thinking in lieu of some objects that I haven't thought of, can one hang up a 5kg bag of rice by placing it in a plastic bag and hanging it on the water pipes? Also, if I have some big bottles of floor washing detergent high up in a closed cupboard in my kitchen in that sector, does this constitute having an object of mass henceactivating the mountain star?

  14. Dear Master
I am a rank beginner in feng shui and am thinking of putting up cny red buntings made of paper or plastic with chinesecharacters of "Fu" or double happiness, etc for an entire year for one of my sectors with #9 water star to activate it as some forumer here said that "activate your water star #9 in period 8 and unexpected wealth will come about" in the following configuration
    7 9
    1
As the Master has said that in period 8, the #7 (weak metal) has turned into a robber and will douse out the #9 (weak fire), I reckon I could only put up paper buntings or red lights to activate #9 water star in the living room. I suppose a water feature is not possible. Or is there another way to go about it to activate? Can I also wrap red plastic paper on my double flourescent lamp in the ceiling of the living room for activation too?

    Dear Mr Lee
I read one Fengshui book that
says if a house has each
    sector's water star and base
star added up and equals to 10
in every sector, it is a very
    auspicious house that will
    have good prosperity and
    academic success. An example
is a house sitting south and
    facing north.
Is this true? However it also
    stated that frontage must have
    either
water star 7,8 or 9. But it is
    Period 8 now, does frontage
    has 7 still
    deemed auspicious although its
    still added up to 10.
    Greatly appreciate your
    opinion.
    Thank You
    Paris

The above is an interesting post from 2004. My period 8 house this year 2011 has this sum of 10 for all flying star sectors and also a 9m 7w at my front door. I wonder whether this forumer's post is still valid?

May I ask how to cure my
kitchen that has 8m 8w and
annual star 2?Also there is a
    5m 2w annual 8 in my
    bedroom?Thanking you

Btw, mine is a Period 8 house.
As there is 5m and 2w in the yearly #8 in my room, how to activate or take advantage of the yearly #8 this new year without arousing the 5m and 2w which I think are bad stars?
