  2. Hi Cecil Can you tell me the significance of the frog or what it is symbolic of? Is it just the frog or does it apply to the toad as well? During the summer while my husband was mowing the lawn he caught sight of a toad that jumped right infront of the mower. He stopped the mower but to his disappointment the toad had lost one of his legs. This upset my husband and he thought the frog would now die. 2 days later I found the toad in a garden bed outside our front door. I picked him up and he looked very well under the circumstances. His leg had healed well and he seem to be able to get around with no trouble. He has now made a toad hole that he lives in next to our front door. My husband picked up a Feng Shui book and saw them mention a 3 legged frog and asked if a 3 legged toad is the same? and is this actually lucky? (I guess not for the toad losing a leg but he does seem happy). Regards Susan
  3. Hi Cecil I have read in Feng Shui that its always good to have the door of a house or business to open inwards, so you enter the building as you open the door. Here in Canada, due to fire regulations, most shops and business doors open outwards. Does this affect the energy entering a business? will that cause the business to have to work harder to achieve their goals? and what can you do to counteract this energy. A friend has their front door of their house opening outwards due to continual break-ins, the door opening outwards stops people from kicking it in. What effect will this have on the energy entering their home? Thank you for your input.
  4. Hi Cecil I recently visited a friend in Australia and I noticed in her house there were numerous small (about finger-nail size) red dots low to the ground on the corner of her walls. I asked what they were and she said that a Feng Shui Master had gone through her house and had placed one red dot about 2 - 3 inches up from the floor at every corner in her house. I have heard of the poison arrows and how corners can cut the energy in a house or room so that sounded reasonable. Can simply placing these dots on the wall counteract the inauspicious energy of the corner?? Regards Susan
  5. Hi I have read about the Ba Gua mirrors and find there are many different opinions on their use. Some say to use them is good, some say they really don't help, some say they should be placed with a particular trigram at the top of the mirror. In your opinion, are they really useful and what is the best trigram to have at the top. Thanking you
  6. Hi Cecil My question is about Gargoyles. I have hear that to place them at the entrance of a building or path leading into a building is suppose to ward of bad luck or negative energy. I have not read anything about them in reference to Feng Shui. I have read they were a mythical character first created for roof top corners and were used as water sprouts to direct rain away from buildings, their name coming from a similar french word for "spout" or "throat". Do they have any significants in regard to Feng Shui? and if so where would they be best placed? Would they resemble the Dragon or Lion? Thank you
  7. I have been looking at my house's layout using my Kua number for good directions, when I look at the house with my husbands number it appears what is auspicious direction for me are the opposite ones for him and vice versa. By hanging or placing something in an area to activate good energy for me, will this in turn activate bad energy for him?? Which one of us would we feng shui the house around? Him as the main bread winner or me as I am in the house most the time? Or by working it seperately and putting appropriate things in the particular areas for both of us, will this have the desired effect?? Thanks
