Dear Master Cecil: After reading through the topics as recommended, I agree that PIE chart seems better. As such, I have redo the plan overlaying the PIE chart in. After seeing it, can you advise me on the following: 1) Should Bedroom 2 be under North or Northeast. I understand North is bigger but the door to the bedroom is more of in the NE sector. 2) Same goes to Master Bedroom. Should it be under NE or E? 3) Which brings me back to the question, how do we differentiate which direction it should be in the same room falls under 2 different directions. Dear Master Cecil: I intend to plot in the House Gua and Flying Stars ( both natal and monthly charts ) for my apartment unit. So far, I have done the following: a) Extend the lines to form a square / box b) Draw the 9 Palaces Grid over the floor plan c) Cross the diagonal points to determine the center of the unit. But before I can plot in the numbers, I need to be able to determine which box belongs to which compass direction. So I stand in the center to take a compass direction. The attached plan has all the information. Now the problem is North ( as in 0 degrees North ) is so close to 2 of the palaces, thus making me confused ( By the way, the Facing is not North. I am just trying to confirm North belongs to which Palace so I can plot in the direction for the remaining boxes. ) Can you help me on the following: 1) According to my attached plan, should North Palace be the Top Left Box or the Top Center Box? 2) Should I encounter such cases again, how should I determine the North palace should be in which box. Any guidelines? 3) Once I have plot in the N, S, E, W, NE, NW, SE and SW into the boxes, this layout will be the same when I apply 8 Mansions House Gua or Flying Stars right? Thank you, Ivan

Dear Master Cecil: I have attached everything for your perusal. I hope to hear your comments: 1) Is the way of locating the center of the home correct? 2) Is my taking of the facing correct? 3) Is my house natal chart for period 8 constructed correctly? 4) For item 3 above, if I have done it correctly, do I shrink and superimpose this whole chart into each room or do I have to repeat the whole exercise to find the small tai chi of each room. Your help is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Dear Sir: I live in a condo and I am trying to superimpose the flying star chart onto my unit layout plan. I hope you can help me with my questions: 1) As my front door open to the services stack (starhub. Singtel, SP services etc ), I am taking direction on my balcony side ( same facing as the windows for my other rooms ). As my main door is mostly closed and my balcony is open for ventilation for chi flow, am I correct to use this facing? Please note this direction is facing the pool and opposite block of my condo. 2) If I am correct in choosing this direction, after forming the rectangle of my plan (to take care of minor missing corners ), I then draw diagonal lines from the corners to intersect to find the center. Am I right to now stand here and take compass direction in the facing as mentioned above? 3) Assuming I get the above correct, I now can plot the overall big tai chi of my whole unit ( sub-dividing the plan into 9 squares and use the correct period 8 charts to fill in the numbers ). Now, if I am to do it for all my individual rooms, do I use the same chart I plotted for the overall unit, shrink it and directly superimpose it over the individual rooms? Or should I find the center of room, retake compass direction and redo the whole exercise for all individual rooms? Because once I move around from the center, although I am still facing the same direction, the angles are all different already. Thank you.
