Dear Rana,

To confirm, the Northeast is your most favorable direction, while the Southeast is considered your “Death” line. Since we are analyzing this only using the Eight House Theory and not incorporating other factors or methods, we must, for now, view this house as the most unsuitable due to its death line orientation.

There are four possible ways to address this issue (listed in no particular order):
1. Adjust the angle of the front door so it faces one of your favorable directions. This can help improve the overall energy and is often described as “killing two birds with one stone.”
2. If the main entrance is elevated, you can add semi-circular steps leading to the door. This is a technique for deflecting negative energy (sha ch’i) away from the entrance.
3. If the main entrance is level with the surrounding ground, consider a specially designed semi-circular carpet, such as one shaped like half a sun with rays radiating outward from the door.
4. Alternatively, keep the main door closed when not in use and ensure the area is well-lit.

Warmest regards,
Cecil

You wrote: I recently agreed to purchase a new townhouse. My most auspicious front door direction should be Northeast, as I am a male born in 1971, and Northeast represents my Sheng Chi. However, the front door of this townhouse faces Southeast, while the stairs leading up to it approach from the Northeast. There is no back door. Is this arrangement considered auspicious or inauspicious? I understand that Southeast is generally not a favorable direction for me.
