The House of Tan Yeok Nee was built in 1882-85 as a family home by Tan Yeok Nee, a gambier merchant from Chaozhou, China. When he first arrived in Singapore, he made a living as a cloth pedler. However. he later established hamsell as a successful gambler and pepper planter in Johor. Malaya. and began trading in these commodltles. The house is one of the two surviving examples of traditional Chinese mansions in Singapore. the other being River House in Clarke Quay. The House of Tan Yeok Nee is a Teochew-style residential buuilding wlth two main courtyard. lts intricate roof is decorated with wooden carvings, painted plaster relief and colourful porcelain pieces. …

Montview @ Mount Sinai Drive This freehold development consists of a single block of flats. Very similar in concept of the "5 bedroom type HDB point-blocks of the mid 1975s. Please do not mistaken that the build or quality is that of the HDB flats. The build is of a typical luxury condo apartments. This development is either Period 8 Flying Stars since it TOP in 2008: Either N2 or S2 facing with a negligible tilt of 5 degrees.

In 1966, the site where Belgravia Green is under construction is a virgin piece of land. Even so until 1977. In 1977, roads such as today’s Saraca Road, Kansai Road and Mimosa Cresent started taking shape: At the bottom: Ang Mo Kio Ave 5 is also taking shape. Today we know it as Seletar Hills Estate.

HDB Hougang Meadows recently T.O.P. It is good that the sub-station is not below any stacks or 2nd storey units This period, The Frangipanni tree is always chosen for both condos / ECs and HDB sites. This is the third HDB development that uses dry walls between the living room with a bedroom wall and the master bedroom with a 2nd bedroom wall.

HDB estates built before the year 2000 had no precinct pavilions. Thus a funeral may be held just below the deceased block. As shown in this example: Petir Road estate. Today, depending on the size of each HDB estate or precinct; there are between 1 to 2 such Pavilions per estate depending on it's size. Thus an estate with 500 to 700 units often has 1 precinct pavilion. But another larger estate of 800 to 1,500 units may have two Pavilions.
