Starpoint condo beside Lynnsville 331 @ Pasir Panjang A very unusual 6 sided development. The closest to this type of development is that of a pagoda... Coincidence that Starpoint has 11 storeys. All pagodas have odd need of storeys also.

Part 1: Sales Brochure Resources Casa Al Mare's in English is simply translated as “Beach House." Do you know this development’s name in Italian simply means = Beach House. (Since it makes sense given that indeed it will be close to the beach.) What if the developer had used “Casa La Mare” instead? It will then literally means “House the sea” or more appropriately = House by the sea. Next time if someone comes to you and makes fun of this development's name. Tell them instead that "Mare" DOES NOT mean an adult FEMALE horse that is more than four years old. Else it would instead be called a Filly if it is below four years old. Imagine "Casa Al …

In 2015, the 4 blocks / 5 storey high HDB flats were slated for re-development. In 1965, these flats were built to house those in a massive fire in Siglap. This is still within the popular district 15. The most iconic was the former Wong Clinic..then at Block 2 #01-878 .. Dr Wong had since passed away.. we stay in Katong... and he was one of our family Doctors... Photos show .. vacated units.. except for the vibrant car park.. Across the road was The former Siglap market....

A triangular piece of land. Essentially, there are 9 low-rise housing tower blocks. They share many characteristics with other developments, where the units tend to remain quite rectangular in shape. Overall, the planners have made a reasonably acceptable adjustment in the placement of each of the 9 blocks, based on my observation of the site plan from a global perspective. At first glance, there do not appear to be any major disturbing issues, aside from the sharp corners of some stacks. I hope these do not point towards the openings of neighboring units, particularly the balcony openings (if any). Fingers crossed! Source & Credit:

Have you ever explored the historical background of Balestier Road? Novena MRT & Novena Square were previously located on a Jewish cemetery. Alternatively, Balestier Hill Shopping Centre used to occupy a Chinese cemetery. Novena Church was constructed on the site of a former Chinese monastery. Here is a map of Singapore from 1954: - Presently, Kamgpong Chia Heng road has been replaced by Irrawaddy Road, which now connects Balestier Road directly to Thomson Road.
