1. All these photos were taken on just one single private housing estate road i.e. Lorong H Telok Kuaru. 2. As the Lipstick palm has partial reddish canes; Chinese like RED as it signifies auspicious connotation. 3. Every one of these picture shows the Lipstick palm or also known as "majestic" Maharajah Palm. The Indian word for Maharajah is royalty!

The Red House Although Red symbolises prosperity to the Chinese. Seldom we see actual homes or apartment complexes in bold chilli or maroon red. However, it is different for shop owners or iconic hotels. But once a while; a bold architect with a bolder client may just get together and ... P.S. Note the Red door with white borders belongs to a Bao shop where I stood to take the photos...

HDB Compassvale Mast & internal dry walls I was wondering how long will HDB follow suit in using dry walls for the interior partitions. That was in 2011 when the Livia condo just TOP. I walked into the unit and knocked on all the interior walls. These walls were all dry walls. And for this development another surprise... the toilet interior walls were also non-concrete walls. Just last year, a client sold his nearby CDL unit in the same development and opted for an older condo that had interior solid walls. This client says he just hated a home with such dry walls. He felt that we are already payinga premium for a home, here in Singapore. …

Lift Graffiti, uniquely Singapore One can only find such graffiti once in a life-time of each new HDB estate that has just T.O.P. These graffiti will be removed once majority of the residents have moved-in or usually after 6 months of T.O.P.
